BOONE, Iowa – Bob Ross has been named race director for the Sept. 6-11 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.

IMCA’s director of competition from 1997-2001, Ross will oversee all calls made from the tower and the flagstand during the 28th annual event, as well as help manage the Raceceiver system required for use in the Modified division.

He’ll be in the tower during all qualifying and main events through the week.

“Our drivers expect and deserve consistency at our biggest event of the year,” IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root said. “Bob will ensure that calls are made consistently all week and that the competition on the track is as fair and enforcement of the rules are as efficient as possible for all those involved.”
