DODGE CITY, Kan. (July 24-25) – Using a transmission borrowed from the Gemmill team, Will Brack swept the Larry Shaw Racing Blood, Sweat and Tears Kansas Series opening doubleheader.

Brack mastered the Dodge City Raceway Park oval on Saturday and was the king of Dirtona Raceway on Sunday for his 12th and 13th BST career victories.

Brendon Gemmill and Michael Martin were on the front row for the start of Saturday’s 30-lapper. Gemmill jumped to the early lead with his father Troy, Brack, Nic Baalman and Michael Martin in tow.

Three yellows came out over the course of laps six and seven. Brack was second on lap eight and barely missed the wall on lap nine when Brendon Gemmill moved up.

On lap 11, Brack made his move and took the lead over Brendon Gemmill Troy Gemmill, Baalman and Darren DeLoach.

Brack opened up a huge lead as the laps started counting down. His brother Matt moved into fifth on lap 20 before back to back cautions on lap 22.

When the green flag came back out, Brack opened another big lead that lasted until debris from Baalman’s car caused the final caution. Baalman restarted at the rear and Will Brack held on for the win over Brendon Gemmill, Troy Gemmill, Matt Brack and DeLoach.

Matt Brack drew the pole start, with Will Brack on the outside of the front row Sunday.

Will Brack hammered down and took control of the race after a lap one restart, ahead of Matt Brack, Jason Burrows, Dwayne Dechant and Tracy Link.

Link slid off the track on lap 16 handing fifth to Cody Gearhart. Dechant was second on lap 20 and chased Will Brack but wasn’t able to get by. Will Brack took the win over Dechant, Matt Brack, Gearhart and Jason Brees.

Next up for the Larry Shaw BST Kansas Series are Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31 dates during the F & M Summer Shootout at Thomas County Speedway in Colby.
