New contingency awards announced for Duel In The Desert

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Nov. 2) – Newly-announced contingency awards will be given at the season-ending Duel In The Desert special for IMCA Modifieds Nov. 12-14 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Speedway Motors will give $100 gift cards to hard chargers in Thursday and Friday night qualifying features, and a $200 gift card to the hard charger in Saturday’s main event.
Engine builders for each of the top three finishers in qualifying features Thursday and Friday receive $500 product certificates from SuperFlow. The individual employee who built the engine gets $25.
The engine builder for Saturday’s main event winner scores a $1,000 product certificate while the individual employee gets $100.
SuperFlow will also award a 2010 competitor’s license to the Duel In The Desert winner.
Rotating Right will give 3,000 watt generators top non-qualifiers and to sixth place finishers in each Shootout heat on Thursday and Friday.
The driver starting on the pole in Saturday’s first last-chance qualifier earns a 6,500 watt generator.
Wells Design will give a 2010 license, banner and trophy to the best appearing car winner, to be announced on Saturday.
By sponsor and place finish, product certificates to be given at LVMS also include:
The Joie of Seating, $200, and Isky Racing Cams, $100 to the winner;
Probe Industries, $100  to the runner-up;
KSE Racing Products, $100 for third;
Moser Engineering, $100 for fourth;
BSB Manufacturing, $50 for fifth;
Racing Optics, $50 for sixth;
Schoenfeld Headers, $50 for seventh;
Quick Time, $50 for eighth;
All top 10 finishers will receive $50 from Brinn Transmission.
Design 500 will award $150 to the fifth place finisher, $100 to the 10th place finisher and $50 to the 15th place finisher.
The Modified main event pays $7,777 to win, a minimum of $500 to start and is a qualifying event for the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
Stock Cars run for $777 to win in their Saturday night feature. IMCA special events contingencies totaling $800 will be given in that division.
Two Modified drivers heading to Las Vegas are already guaranteed to go home with something extra in their trailer: Justen Yeager will get a set of cylinder heads as champion of the EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Northern Tour and Paul Stone earned a 6,500 watt generator by winning the Rotating Right Wild West Southern Tour crown.
