Profile/Program: Twenty-five years ago Bert Robidoux was teaching machine shop to high schoolers and decided it was time he take his knowledge in another direction. What developed was the first Bert Transmission and more than two decades later it is still one of the leading pieces in the industry. Today, three shifts of employees work seven days a week manufacturing transmissions and other drive train and suspension components. From all CNC gear cutting to the transmission assembly, an 11,550 sq. ft. building is the home to virtually the entire transmission building process. Bert Transmission will focus solely on the Modified division again in 2008.
