Profile/Program: The business strategy for Brian Butler began differently than most. While working as a fabricator for Benfield Racing’s Winston Cup team in the early 80’s, Indy star Johnny Rutherford came to drive a team car. Not impressed with the fiberglass seats being used he asked for a better fitting, safer seat. Brian tackled that project head on and the ButlerBuilt seat was born. Soon after other high profile drivers like Bill Elliott and Terry Labonte used the seats and the rest is history. The company manufactures seats for everything from Stock Cars and Sprint Cars to jet boats and Monster trucks. Priding itself on being a leader in safety innovation the North Carolina company is also manufactures several other safety related items such as sprint car tethers, knee protectors and door pads. They also distribute safety related items like the Hooker Harness seat belts and the new DefNder head and neck restraint system.
Their second season of IMCA partnership sees them return as the high profile title sponsor of the IMCA Modified Western, North Central, Central, South Central and Eastern regions.
