Clock strikes midnight on Feb. 17 for Sniper Speed IMCA Lone Star Stock Car Tour pre-entries

WACO, Texas (2/16/22) – Drivers now have until midnight Thursday, Feb. 17 to pre-enter for the Feb. 20-26 Sniper Speed IMCA Lone Star Stock Car Tour. 

Signing up by that deadline guarantees drivers are eligible for shares of the tour point fund, nightly and tour-long contingency awards, and the Sunoco Race Fuels $10,000 Bobby Bonus Bucks award for winning both main events at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Feb. 21 and Feb. 26 at Kennedale Speedway Park, as well as the Kirk Martin Memorial Sportsmanship Award and $4,000 Midstate Machine perfect attendance award. 

Contingency award sponsors for the tour include Abilene Race Rads, Bulletproof Tees, CRS Suspension and Fabrication, Gorsuch Performance Solutions, Kevin Nouse Designs, Landrum Springs, Lemirande Motorsports, Lit Sticks by Twenty-Nine Enterprises, Lone Star Super Gas, MultiFire Wires by Money, QuickCar, Schoenfeld Headers, Shell Valley Fiberglass, Speed Secrets, Sybesma Graphics and UltraShield Race Products. 

Features pay $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start with opening night Sunday, Feb. 20 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco; Devil’s Bowl in Mesquite on Monday, Feb. 21; Boyd Raceway on Wednesday, Feb. 23; Grayson County Speedway in Bells on Thursday, Feb. 24; and at Kennedale Speedway Park for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 and 26 shows. 

Feature winners each night become eligible to qualify for, and the tour champion also receives an automatic bid to the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. 

The Tuesday, Feb. 22 practice session will be held at Boyd. IMCA sponsors the party in the pits that evening and drivers turning the fastest practice lap will be guaranteed provisional starts in Stock Car, Modified and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod features the following evening.

Westin Abbey aces IMCA Lone Star Tour opener at Abilene

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 15) – Following his opening night Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour win Saturday at Abilene Speedway, Westin Abbey will take aim at a much bigger payday.  The three-time and defending EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region champion topped the main event for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, earning $1,000 and a shot at a $10,000 bonus if he can win Texas Motor Speedway’s Wednesday night Dirty 30 show as well. Westin Abbey completes charge from 17th for dramatic Dirty 30 payday

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 20) – Being faster by a fraction of a second coming out of the final turn made Westin Abbey rich Thursday night. Abbey raced all the way from 17th starting to the front of the Dirty 30 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature field at Texas Motor Speedway, beating Ryan Powers to the checkers by half a car length as the pair ran side-by-side to the finish. The Comanche speedster took home $3,000 for the victory. IMCA opens loyalty bonus to all pre-registered Lone Star Tour drivers

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 9) – Due to the upcoming cancellation of the other stock car tour scheduled the week before the Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour, IMCA will extend the $500 loyalty bonus to all IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers registered to compete in the Lone Star Tour by 5 p.m. CST today (Tuesday). Registered drivers who ran in January at Corpus Christi will be eligible for that bonus. All tour races now pay those registered drivers a minimum of $1,500 to win.  The big week of racing starts with the 24th annual Ice Breaker at Abilene Speedway on Feb. 19, followed by opening night of the fourth annual tour at Abilene.  The winner of the Friday, Feb. 19 Stock Car feature earns $3,000 while the winner’s share of the Saturday, Feb. 20 feature will be $2,000.
