IMCA Stock Car, Hobby Stock, SportMod drivers share EngineQuest awards wealth

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Jan. 27, 2023) – EngineQuest shares the wealth with drivers in four IMCA divisions again in 2023.

Notably, the Las Vegas, Nev., cyl­inder head and engine component manufacturer returns as title sponsor for both EQ Cylinder Heads Northern and Southern Regions for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for the ninth consecutive year, providing a portion of $3,750 point funds paid in each. 

EQ cash, products and product certificates will also be awarded to IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMod drivers. 

“Our association as a sponsor with IMCA for the last 18 years has been a good fit that I believe has benefited both EngineQuest and IMCA,” said EngineQuest Manager Scott Stolberg. “We look forward to celebrating our 20th year together soon and continuing to grow as the IMCA evolves.” 

EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region tracks are located in eastern Colorado, Iowa, Kan­sas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ne­braska, North Dakota, Oregon, Saskatchewan, South Da­kota, Wis­con­sin and Wyoming, while EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region tracks are in Ari­zona, Arkansas, Cali­for­nia, western Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. 

“We have enjoyed considerable growth in our Stock Car division, in terms of both new states and new tracks, particularly during EQ’s tenure as title sponsor of the Northern and Southern regions for the division,” noted IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm.

“The relationship we’ve built has benefitted IMCA Hobby Stock and SportMod drivers as well,” he continued. “We appreciate everything EQ has done for our member drivers over nearly two decades and look forward to celebrating their 20th season as an IMCA sponsor in just two short years.”

Stock Car, Northern SportMod and Southern SportMod national champions, and the Northern SportMod national rookie of the year all receive EQ branded sets of cylinder heads. 

Stock, Hobby and SportMod drivers winning multiple track championships earn $200 cash bonuses. Those winning track titles with claim engines receive certificates good for $50 off the purchase of a set of cylinder heads. 

The Stock Car champion and highest finishing Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod finishers in main events at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s get cylinder head sets, with $250 awarded to Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod champions if competing with a claim engine.
