Eagle is RaceSaver Nationals destination Aug. 31-Sept. 3

EAGLE, Neb. (June 29, 2023) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers from across the country are already replying to the invitation to Sprint on in to Nebraska’s Racing Vacation Destination Aug. 31-Sept. 3.

Eagle Raceway rolls out the red carpet for the RaceSaver Nationals over the Labor Day Weekend, concluding the 11th annual special with a main event that pays a guaranteed $3,000 to win and a minimum of $1,500 to start. The winner pocketing a $1,500 bonus from IMCA as well if they’ve made at least one previous sanctioned start in 2023.

“A lot of drivers are focused on weekly or series racing now but some of them have already looked ahead and called about RaceSaver Nationals. They can go to the track website (eagleraceway.com) now and register for just $20,” said promoter Roger Hadan.

“This should be another good year. We’ve really been able to bounce back from the pandemic,” he continued, noting the popular addition of elevated seating for 1,200 fans off turn four in time for last year’s Nationals. “Our crowds have been super and a lot of people in the RaceSaver world will be focused on this event.”

Drivers and fans who have attended previous RaceSaver Nationals will note the familiar schedule, starting with practice, pre-tech and race of champions qualifying on Thursday, Aug. 31.

Seven hundred to win, $250 to start qualifying features Friday, Sept. 1 and Saturday, Sept. 2 send nine cars to the first three rows and then the next three rows. Last-chance qualifying fills the last three rows on Sunday. Drivers who don’t make the main event grid but start at least one race each day get a minimum of $700 in non-qualifier pay for the weekend.

Saturday’s race of champions pays $1,000 to win, $200 to start.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks also run on Friday, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods on Saturday and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars on Sunday.

RaceSaver Nationals will be broadcast by IMCA.TV. Entertainment in the pit area follows racing each night.

Also planned Sunday are a cornhole tournament, driver autograph session and car show, and the crowning of Miss Eagle Raceway.

Pit passes Friday through Sunday are $35. Four-day grandstand admission passes are $57 and available online at racesaver.com until Aug. 24.

“The four-day pass is a bargain,” Hadan said. “RaceSaver Nationals is the most affordable four-day race you’ll ever go to.”
