(June 25, 2022) – Matt Andrews went sailing Saturday night, from row five at the start to victory lane following Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event at Eagle Raceway. Andrews started 10th, snagged the lead with 12 to go and took the checkers ahead of Ryan Argobast and Dana Deeke.  “When you have to start in the back because of the points deal, it’s pretty tough to get to the front. By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (April 20, 2024) – On a track that’s definitely different than what he’s used to running on, Ethan Braaksma raced to the same results Saturday night. Braaksma won his sixth Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, and fifth Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying race of the season, collecting $2,000 on night two of the Ice Breaker Challenge. “It was a pretty good run. I just took my time and hit my marks. I was kind of searching there at the beginning but once I found the bottom I hit it really good,” said Braaksma, the leader from lap 11 to the finish. “I could see where the others were messing up in front of me and that’s how I got to the lead. EAGLE, Neb. (April 2, 2023) – New car, same results. Jordan Grabouski made his first start in a new JGR Chassis a winning one, topping the Sunday feature for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds at Eagle Raceway’s inaugural Topless Nationals. The five-time and defending national champion battled Jeremy Mills in the late going before capturing the $1,000 victory, his career 278th in the division. “I was a little nervous. This is a new design and Justin Clark, Josh Houseman and Robert Brinkman have spent hundreds of hours in the shop,” Grabouski said. “Winning the first night out is always your goal but you don’t always achieve that.”  Mills, the Saturday winner at RPM Speedway’s Mike Hughes Sunflower Classic, had the fastest car much of the night while Grabouski worked his way up from fifth starting.
