Davenport Speedway beefs up IMCA Modified payday this Friday

DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 21, 2024) – Scott County Cattlemen will do the grilling and Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers will do the racing for $1,000 to win this Friday night at Davenport Speedway.

The cattlemen’s association sponsors the May 24 race program, which sees SLMR Super Late Models on the holiday weekend card along with the Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods.

Purse for the Modified main event tops $9,000. The winner also becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational while the runner-up earns $800, 10th place pays $400 and taking the green flag is good for $100. Tow money is $75.

Modifieds are draw/redraw and their entry fee is $30. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and state points will be awarded; Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods also earn track points.

Pit passes are $40 or $25 for ages 10 and under. Spectator admission is $25 for adults, $10 for kids ages 5-10 and free for four and under.

Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. The drivers’ meeting is at 6:15 p.m. and hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. The program will be broadcast on IMCA.TV.

Steak sandwiches will be sold on both the grandstand and pit side of the track Friday night.

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $750 to win their Mississippi Valley Fair show next Tuesday, July 24 at Davenport Speedway. A minimum of $75 will be paid to start and there is no entry fee for the draw/redraw show, held in conjunction with the World of Outlaws Late Models. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State, but no track points will be awarded. General admission is $25 and box seats are $30. Opening night for Deery Series moves to Saturday at Maquoketa

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 12) – Persistent cold and wet weather conditions have resulted in cancellation of tonight’s Rebel 5K Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Davenport Speedway. Opening night for the 33rd annual IMCA Late Model tour moves to Saturday, April 13 at Maquoketa Speedway, with night two of what is now a weekend doubleheader on Sunday, April 14 at Dubuque Speedway.  Both main events pay $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Maquoketa hosts the inaugural Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial on Saturday.  Pit gates open and Late Model pre-tech starts at 2 p.m. Saturday. The drivers’ meeting is at 4:10 p.m. and hot laps are at 4:30 p.m., with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and students and free for ages 12 and under. Pit passes will be $30. Other sanctioned divisions running both nights are the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.

Davenport paying $2,000 to IMCA SportMod Challenge winner

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods vie in a $2,000 to win main event on Friday, June 8 at Davenport Speedway. The IMCA SportMod Challenge will use a draw/redraw format and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State points will be awarded for the draw/redraw show. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:45 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and students, and free for kids ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $30.
