Four IMCA features pay $1,000 to win, fans get in free Saturday at 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – 34 Raceway celebrates the Big 5-0, then gets an early start at celebrating Independence Day next Tuesday. The Deery Brothers Summer Series makes its 50th visit to West Burlington on July 3. Touring IMCA Late Models chase a top check of $2,000 with a minimum of $300 paid to start the main event. 34 Raceway was the site of the first-ever IMCA Late Model tour event, won by hometown driver Jay Johnson on April 11, 1987. The series has since traveled to West Burlington more often than any other track in its 31-plus years, with the single event record of 71 entries set there in 2006. WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (April 11, 2024) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers in the Southeast Iowa area can now race every week for All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. They can load up their cars and head to 34 Raceway already knowing that every night they race at the West Burlington oval, they’ll be in the running to become eligible for their respective, prestigious events. “Any time Modifieds race at 34 this season, they’ll be racing for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligibility. Any time Stock Cars race here, they’ll race for $750 to win and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star eligibility,” explained Promoter Brad Stevens. “That’s due to local sponsors stepping up on behalf of drivers in both divisions.” The first $1,000 to win feature for the Modifieds is this Saturday, April 13 during the Sprint Invaders show. WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Sept. 27) – Inclement weather was again the winner at 34 Raceway.  The Deery Brothers Summer Series event scheduled tonight (Friday) in West Burlington has been canceled because of rain and a less than promising forecast for later in the day.  The 500th event in series history and finale for the 33rd annual tour for IMCA Late Models now moves to Davenport Speedway to headline the Iowa Governor’s Cup program on Saturday, Sept. 28.  Pit gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 2 p.m. Hot laps are at 4 p.m. with racing to follow.  Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and teens, and free for kids 12 and under accompanying a paid adult.
