Jerovetz is back for win at Britt, Krug is IMCA Hobby Stock Titan

BRITT, Iowa (Aug. 7) – After checking out his tires, Kollin Hibdon checked out for a $4,000 Saturday afternoon payday at Hancock County Speedway.  Hibdon led all 40 laps of the Night of 10,000 Stars IMCA Modified main event at Britt in the finale for IMCA Speedweek.  “I got a good jump on the start and kept the car straight the first 20 laps to conserve my tires,” said Hibdon, who promptly checker out his Hoosiers during the mandatory pitstop at midway. “After looking at my tires I knew we’d be pretty good. I just made sure to keep the car straight and cruised.”  The young Nevada driver now owns seven Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying victories, six of them coming this season. BRITT, Iowa (Aug. 8) – At halfway, Ricky Thornton Jr. had to be wondering if fuel issues were going to resurface and knock him out of the running. But at the end of Hancock County Speedway’s 25th annual IMT Transport Night of 1,000 Stars feature for IMCA Modifieds Thursday night, Thornton was standing in victory lane with another tall tro­phy and a check for $4,500. Thornton caught Benji LaCrosse for the front spot just five laps before the mandatory front stretch pit­stop on lap 25. BRITT, Iowa (June 13, 2022) – Logan Anderson has a tall trophy and a big check to show for his first-ever visit to Hancock County Speedway. Anderson took over the front spot following a lap nine restart, then ran away from the field in winning the 30-lap Landus Cooperative IMCA SportMod Nationals and $2,500 Monday night at Britt. The last 15 laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event stayed green. Tenth starting and defending race winner Matt Looft was second and Josh Appel ended in third. “It’s exciting to go to a new track. It’s cool, especially when it’s $2,500 and you win,” Anderson said after finding room in the trailer for that trophy for the 2-1/2 hour tow home to Eddyville. “I didn’t hot lap before I started on the pole and won the first heat.
