IMCA Weekly Racing, plus Legends, A.I.R.S. Sunday at The Bullring

VINTON, Iowa (April 25, 2022) – Opening night is taking on a “super” look at Benton County Speedway. After wet weather forced the delay of Sunday’s season opener, IMCA Sunoco Late Models will join the show Sunday, May 1 for the first Super Sunday event of the season at The Bullring. In the first of two appearances for the division this season, Late Models will vie for a $1,000 winner’s share Sunday night. Opening night action will also feature the six weekly divisions, including the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by 96.5 KISS Country, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks presented by Kwik Star, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and Legends.Direct Legends. VINTON, Iowa (May 23, 2023) – Memorial Day weekend is about to become a little more memorable for a pair of IMCA racers. Two nights of racing will culminate with the 44th anniversary race for the IMCA Modified this weekend at Benton County Speedway. It all starts Sunday, May 28, with the Prelude to the IMCA Modified Anniversary Event and features increased prize money for a pair of divisions at The Bullring. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by Beatty Excavating will compete for a $1,000 top prize and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, while Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods vie for a $750 winner’s share.  Joining those two divisions on Sunday will be IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Christie Door Company, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks presented by Vermedahl Trucking and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts presented by iHeart Radio. VINTON, Iowa (May 30, 2022) – Tom Berry Jr. led all the laps and Sam Wieben led the most important one in the Monday night 43rd Anniversary special at Benton County Speedway. Berry led all 43 laps in winning the star-filled Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, while Wieben lost, then got the lead back from Taylor Kuehl on the final circuit to win the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature.  “It’s always pretty special to win at the home track of IMCA,” said Berry, who was checking and double checking his car while crewman and right hand man Josh Capalla got the ace in the intermission card draw that gave him the inside front row start. “I don’t get to start on the front row that often.
