NORFOLK, Neb. (July 27, 2024) – Following Saturday’s regular program, the racing season at Off Road Speedway is now ready to enter the home stretch.

Just four events are scheduled during the month of August, including a pair of memorial specials honoring Bob Haase and Lynn Langenburg, as well as championship night where unofficial points winners will be determined across the track’s five divisions.

On Saturday, Cory Dumpert and Anthony Roth started side-by-side in the fourth row of the IMCA Sunoco Late Model field, then established a two-car chase well ahead of the rest of the pack before finishing first and second, respectively.

Dumpert broke away following a caution four laps into the race with Roth in pursuit but unable to find an opening, even when the two cars caught up to lapped traffic with 10 laps left. Joey Haase was third, coming out on top of a near photo finish with Beau Johnson as the two reached the flag stand.

Feature winner in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks was Dakota Spann, ahead of Jason Wilkinson and Joe Beller.

Beller chased Spann for the first 10 laps, only to see Wilkinson successfully take that position away following the race’s only caution with five laps remaining.

Mielke moved up from a fifth row starting position to win the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature.

Cameron Wilkinson also worked his way into contention from a deep, sixth row position among the 16-car field to challenge Mielke during the last eight laps before settling for second. Chad Heater earned his first top five finish of the season at Off Road Speedway, taking third.

And in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature, Cameron Meyer bolted to the front of the pack just two laps into the race and prevented eventual second-place finisher Jame Roebuck from turning momentum exiting turn two into an opportunity to pass.

Roebuck finished just ahead of Kyle Wilkinson.
