Ten new to Fast Shafts All-Star eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 1, 2024) – Ten more Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers have put their names on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligible list, with feature wins paying $1,000 or more.

Tyrone Yazzie and Wyatt Howard were winners at Diamond Mountain Speedway’s Modified Mania. Casey Jo Gemmill collected the $1,000 checkers at Saltcity Racing and Russ Reinwald rocketed to the win at 141 Speedway’s white race.

Aaron Turnbull ruled at Dacotah Speedway’s Governor’s Cup, Brandon Schmitt was a winner during Beaver Dam Raceway’s Stock Car Twin 25 and Chris Mills collected the big checkers at Interstate Speedway’s Dave Riley Memorial.

Troy Cordes topped Benton County Speedway’s Urbana 5 special. Fair week winners at Dubuque County Fairgrounds Speedway were Ryan DeShaw and Jason Schueller.

Drivers already All-Star eligible winning recent qualifying events included Chaz Baca, Ethan Braaksma, Cole Czarneski, Zane DeVilbiss, Keith Lamphere, Jake McBirnie, Jeremy Mills, Rodney Morgan, Troy Morris III, Tim Ward and Chris Zogg.

Driver intro, shaking hands with Speedy Bill among Saathoff’s Super Nationals highlights

BEATRICE, Neb. – He has four national championships, 24 track championships and 354 feature wins on his IMCA Modified resume. McBirnie posts first IMCA Modified victory at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 15) – The IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s are in sight, and the drivers are already prepping for the 38th annual event at Boone Speedway as 228 cars packed the pits on Saturday night that included an IMCA Sport Compact shakedown along with all of the regular divisions. Jake McBirnie grabbed the lead from Joel Bushore with a handful of laps in the books in the 20-lap main event for IMCA Modifieds. Just a lap later, it was 12th place starter Joel Rust who was challenging him for the lead. The two swapped the top spot back and forth for several laps until Rust suddenly pulled into the infield with mechanical issues.  McBirnie then pulled away from the field and took his career-first win in the division well ahead of second place Nick Meyer. Bushore took third. Split draw planned for IMCA Super Nationals Modified, Stock, Hobby, SportMod heat races

BOONE, Iowa – Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod drivers will be guaranteed different starting spots in qualifying heats at the 39th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  A computerized split draw system will be used for Hobby Stock and SportMod qualifying Monday, Sept. 6 and Tuesday, Sept. 7 and Modifieds and Stock Cars Wednesday, Sept. 8, Thursday, Sept. 9 and Friday, Sept. 10. “With so many entries coming to Boone Speedway from so many parts of the country, the goal is to ensure that each driver has the opportunity to start a qualifying heat race, or races, from different spots on the grid,” explained IMCA President Brett Root. “With this split draw system, drivers are guaranteed a chance to start in the front half of a heat race.
