Qualifying heats for the BlueMax Pay-sponsored Race of Champions  is on Thursday with that $1,000 to win, $300 to start race on Friday.

Nine cars advance to the big dance from each $1,000 to win, $300 to start qualifying feature on Friday and Saturday with non-qualifier pay each night being $200. Sunday will be last-chance qualifying features to qualify the last nine cars, with ‘B’ features paying $1,000 to the first non-qualifier and $700 to start. All other non-qualifiers earn a minimum of $300 on Sunday.

The big dance features 27 cars starting three-wide. A red flag will be thrown on the 30th of 50 laps and two pit crew members per car will have five minutes to get to the infield and behind the start line.

The green flag will be thrown and each two-member pit crew will have five minutes to work on cars. The only work allowed for the driver to keep their starting spot for the remaining 20 laps is fuel filling, tire pressures, tire grinding with a cordless grinder and water for the driver. Any additional changes will cause that car to have to start at the tail for the remainder of the feature.

Crews must be back across the start line before the five minutes are up or their car will have to start at the tail of the field. Once the infield is clear, cars will be refired and lined back up double wide and the green will be waved for the final 20 laps.

More information about the updated qualifying format and awarding of points during the week is posted on the track website.

Pre-tech runs from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Friday. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $300 to win on Friday, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods for $400 to win on Saturday and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $500 to win on Sunday.

Sprint Car drivers can still pre-enter at www.racesaver.com; entry fee is now $100. There is no entry fee for the other IMCA divisions.

Entertainment in the pits follows each race program and all three nights of the RaceSaver Nationals will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.
