Brown Blasts to Victory in MASS Opener at Bridgeport

SWEDESBORO, N.J. (Mar. 21, 2025) — Dave Brown kicked off the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series season with a flag-to-flag victory in the 25-lap feature at Bridgeport Speedway. The race featured some of the best RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars in the region.

The Pilesgrove pilot took the lead at the drop of the green and never, despite heavy lapped traffic and mid-race cautions on the 4/10-mile “Kingdom of Speed.”

Troy Betts and Aidan Borden battled for second early, giving Brown the breathing room to build a large gap. Lapped traffic came into play by lap four, forcing Brown to make aggressive moves to maintain the top spot.

A series of cautions near the halfway point regrouped the field. On the final restart with 13 laps to go, Betts briefly got by Brown, but Brown quickly countered to retake the lead from the Delaware driver at the line. From there, the race stayed green, and Brown pulled away once again to seal the win.

Betts finished second, and New York’s Thomas Radivoy rounded out the podium.

Rookie schools IMCA RaceSaver foes at Bloomsburg

(July 25) – Rookie Zack Bealer found a way around Bloomsburg Fair Raceway that nobody else could match and scored his first win in a full-sized sprint car in Sunday’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature co-sanctioned by the Pennsylvania Sprint Series and the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series. The former micro-sprint driver, running regularly with MASS, already had amassed two top-five finishes and four top-10’s in just six starts, including a seventh at Bridgeport Speedway in his first RaceSaver start, the season-opening co-sanctioned event for both groups. MASS winner at Grandview earns half a grand 

By Erika Palmai Wagner BECHTELSVILLE, Pa. – This Saturday, Oct. 14, the Engler Machine and Tool Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series will make its way for the final time this season to the high-banked Grandview Speedway. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be one of three divisions competing during the Thunder on the Hill Triple Thunder Thriller special. Unlike past years, where this event was invitation only to drivers in the top 25 in points, all teams are eligible to compete. Freiberger Excavating, title sponsor of the second heat race at each MASS event, has upped the main event another $750, making it $500 to win and $165 to start. Nagy rules opening event for Mid-Atlantic, PA Sprint series

(March 26) – Veteran Kevin Nagy started on the pole Friday night at Bridgeport Motorsports Park and held off multiple challenges and challengers to lead all 25 laps and score the feature win on Day 1 of the track’s Kingdom of Speed Weekend.  The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event was co-sanctioned by the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series, which hosted, and the Pennsylvania Sprint Series. Entries numbered 37. Nagy first fought off outside front-row starter Phil Meisner, then dealt with challenges from Rick Stief. Finally, Dave Brown took over second and mounted attacks on the race’s last two restarts, narrowly failing to displace the winner. At the checkers, Nagy led Brown across the line by 1.736 seconds, with Dom Melair finishing 1.205 seconds farther back in third, a position he held despite a broken front wing.  Feature results – 1.
