ELM MOTT, Texas (Mar. 21, 2025) — Dylan Ramey captured his first-ever RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event win Friday night at Heart O’Texas Speedway during the Gene Adamcik Memorial. The 22-year-old Fort Worth native was both emotional and elated in victory lane after achieving the milestone victory.
Starting from the front row, Ramey held off defending track champion Claud Estes III at the drop of the green. As Estes battled Jeb Sessums for second, Ramey built a solid lead — one that vanished in lapped traffic by lap 6, allowing both challengers to close in.
Sessums, wheeling the Taco Casa Racing entry, made a bold three-wide move on the leaders in turn three, but a caution negated the pass, allowing Ramey to keep the top spot.
On the restart, Estes and Sessums resumed their fight for second while Ramey pulled away again. Estes’ night ended on lap 14 after contact with a lapped car, giving Sessums clear track ahead.
Despite a final restart, Ramey stayed composed. Sessums made a late push, but it wasn’t enough. Carson Bolden crossed the line in third.
Abbey Charges Late for Stock Car Victory
The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars delivered high drama from start to finish. Five-time Heart O’ Texas Speedway and three-time Texas State champion Jason Batt took early control. But once the green stayed out, 2022 track champion Dustin Mooney found grip on the high side and went wheel-to-wheel with Batt.
Mooney grabbed the lead on lap 5 and immediately had company — 2019 HOT Stock Car track champion Westin Abbey. The Comanche native threw a slider on lap 7, but Mooney barely held on at the line.
Abbey stayed on the attack and eventually passed Mooney, only for a caution to wave and erase the move.

On the restart, Batt muscled ahead on the bottom as Mooney slid too high in turn two. That left the door wide open, and Abbey split them both in turn three to grab the lead in spectacular fashion.
Despite a couple of late cautions, Abbey was untouchable from that point forward. The three-time EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region champion scored his first regional win of 2025.
Fellow three-time Southern Region champ Matt Guillaume took second after a hard-fought final restart, while Gavin Smith secured third in the closing laps.
Cogburn Wins SportMod Thriller After Late Race Shakeups
The Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods capped the night with a chaotic and thrilling finish. Two-time defending HOT track champion Brandon Geurin and Aaron Browning dueled early, with Geurin using the high line to take the lead on lap 1.
Geurin looked smooth in traffic and appeared to be in full control while Tommy Williams and Trevor Cogburn battled behind him. Cogburn, the 2022 National IMCA Southern SportMod Rookie of the Year, reeled in Williams and passed him with six laps remaining.
A caution then bunched the field, allowing Cogburn to line up near Geurin. On the restart, Cogburn slipped up in the cushion, and Geurin pulled away again. But another caution with two to go brought Cogburn right back into contention.
What followed was a string of green-white-checkered restarts. On the second attempt, Williams tried a slider on Geurin, resulting in contact that sent Geurin to a stop and forced Williams to retire — handing the lead to Cogburn.
The 19-year-old from Robinson nailed the final two restarts and drove away from the field, collecting his second win of the 2025 season — and his first at Heart O’ Texas this year.

Camo Gaston finished second, with three-time defending Texas State champion Jerrett Bransom rounding out the podium in third.
