EAGLE, Neb. (Apr. 26, 2025) — A longtime competitor in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Chad Andersen broke through in a big way Saturday night at Eagle Raceway, scoring his first career win in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car division. Andersen took over the top spot on lap 10 after a thrilling, multi-lap battle with John Anderson, then held off late pressure to secure the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory.
Anderson, who led early, remained a threat throughout the 20-lap contest, while Mason Richards raced his way into third. A caution with just three laps to go bunched the field, but Andersen kept his composure to seal the milestone win in front of an enthusiastic Eagle crowd.
Teen Star Jack Thomas Captures Sprint Car Victory
Brandon Bosma was first back to the flag stand on the opening lap of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature. Bosma already started picking off lapped cars on lap 6 before a caution came out. Jack Thomas took advantage of a bobble by Bosma with ten circuits remaining to take over the lead and went on to score an impressive win. This was the 15-year-old’s second career victory, his first coming last season in his rookie year in an IMCA Sprint Car.
Bosma held on to second with Lee Goos Jr. winning the melee for third.

M. Richards Rallies for Second SportMod Win of Season
Tyler Nerud put his car out front on the first circuit of the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod finale. After a lap 2 stoppage, Cole Wayman snagged the lead away from Nerud on lap 7 but slowed to a stop the next time around with a flat right front tire.
Mason Richards would move into second and shortly after the restart, Nerud bobbled on lap 9, allowing Richards to take over the lead. Richards lengthened his lead and held on to the victory, his second of the year. Nerud was second and Trevor Noonan was third.

D. Richards Adds to Win Tally in Hobby Stock Main
For the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, the main event started with Dillon Richards putting his potent machine into first place. Richards easily handled slower traffic without problems with just a handful of laps remaining. A late caution would come out to set up a green-white-checkered finish, but Richards would master it for his 16th win of the year, 8th in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region, and second score at Eagle.
Tyler Smith held off Kaylb Brunnsen to finish second.

Homan Untouchable in Dominant Modified Performance
Clint Homan dominated the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Homan got the lead at the very start as behind him a whole war would be waged. Ricky Stephan passed Johnny Saathoff for the third spot on lap 6 and two laps later Shawn Harker and Saathoff went back and forth for several laps.
Lap 10 saw the yellow lights come on and, on the restart, Harker got past Stephan for second place. Homan continued his dominance to win his first race of 2025 in the Jet Racing Central Region.
Harker and Stephan were second and third.
