Tocci Closes Out Electric City Doubleheader with Saturday Score

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (Apr. 26, 2025) — Jordan Tocci made a statement on the second night of the 2025 Montana Spring Roundup, powering to victory in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Electric City Speedway. The win marked Tocci’s first of the year in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region and capped off a competitive season-opening doubleheader at the 3/8-mile Great Falls oval.

Sixteen-year-old Tyler Leach led the opening lap of Saturday’s 20-lap main before Tocci and Cody Blixt entered the fray. Tocci, the two-time defending Gallatin Speedway champion from Three Forks, surged to the front on lap two just before a caution halted Leach’s run.

Tocci dominated the ensuing restart until a lap six restart allowed Blixt to briefly slide past for the lead. Undeterred, Tocci reclaimed the point the next time around and never looked back, even as the leaders navigated traffic in the second half of the race.

Blixt, the 2018 Salmon Valley Speedway champion, settled for second, while Ty Clemens, the four-time reigning Montana State titlist, edged out competition to finish third.

Clemens Captures Friday Night Thriller at Electric City

Friday’s opener saw Clemens, the 2022 Shaw Race Cars Western Region champion from Belgrade, take early control and fend off an onslaught of challenges in a caution-filled affair. After an early yellow erased his sizable lead, Clemens was flawless on the restart and built another gap over Dave Davis and Cory Craver.

A misstep by Craver opened the door for Tocci to challenge for second, and following a lap 11 caution, Tocci jumped to the runner-up position. Another yellow bunched up the field, and Davis used the opportunity to dive under Clemens to briefly grab the top spot. However, Tocci made a bold double pass to snatch the lead on lap 14—only for Clemens to counter on the low side and reclaim control.

Despite two more late cautions, Clemens hit all his marks and collected his first Western Region win of the season. Tocci was second, while Alberta’s Jim Cocks muscled past Davis to complete the podium.

IMCA Modifieds provide on-track fireworks at Electric City’s Fastest in the Falls shows

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (June 20, 2023) – The best fireworks around will follow Electric City Speedway’s third annual Fastest in the Falls special. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $2,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 at Great Falls. Additional purse money has been added for second through fifth place finishers and a minimum of $100 will be paid to start each night. All registration for the draw/redraw show is online at MyRacePass. Entry fee is $50 a night and pit passes are $30. Passing points will be awarded for heats. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Shaw Race Cars Western Region, Montana State and track points will be given each night. Leach scores electrifying win at Great Falls

The Great Falls 3/8-mile hosted the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds for their third race of the 2024 campaign. Sun River teenager Tyler Leach seized the lead in a battle with Taylor Johnson right from the start. The race was a nail-biter, with Devon Jadwin and John Price dueling for second place while both tried to catch up with Leach. As the green flag run developed, the contest for second became a three-car affair. Cody Kuglin came to call, taking over just before the third caution flag of the race waved. By Ben Deatherage GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The parade of different Friesen Performance IMCA Modified winners continued Friday at Electric City Speedway with Taylor Johnson taking his turn in victory lane. Still looking to have its first repeat winner of 2024, the Modifieds saw Pacer Popham get ahead of Mike Pistelak to pace the pack on the initial green. Johnson tried to sneak inside of the leader in turn two but could not perform the overtake. Popham held his ground against Johnson as the race unfolded, with Pistelak and Joey Price battling for third. Price passed Pistelak on lap three while Popham and Johnson were starting to inch closer to each other. Price suddenly got added to the mix, setting the stage for a brief three-car tussle. Popham experienced mechanical issues on lap six, forcing Price and Johnson into evasive action. Moore Outduels Blood in Wild Grays Harbor Modified Thriller

(Apr. 26, 2025) — Craig Moore of Seabeck led all 25 laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Grays Harbor Raceway, but to earn his first win of the 2025 season in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region was anything but easy. Moore took command at the drop of the green, quickly distancing himself from Scott Miller while the action behind was absolute chaos. The race from third through eighth went two- and even three-wide early on, as Tyson Blood carved his way forward from the 10th starting position. Banks Blasts from Thirteenth to First at Lincoln County

Banks stole the show Saturday night at Lincoln County Raceway, roaring from 13th on the grid to the front of the pack to win an electrifying Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. The driver out of Brush, Colorado made his move just past the halfway mark and never looked back, collecting both the victor’s purse and his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region triumph of 2025. Logan Veloz Takes First Late Model Win at Davenport

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (Apr. 25, 2025) — Logan Veloz scored his first ever Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature win. The 21-year-old Colona, Illinois driver took the lead of the race on lap 3 and never looked back. Veloz becomes the third different Late Model feature winner at Davenport in as many races this season. Travis Denning started on the pole in the race and led the first two laps before finishing second. Evan Miller was third. The full field of Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds was sprinkled with some top-name talent. Wisconsin’s Skyler Woods jumped out to the early lead in the 20-lap main. However, the race would be halted by a red flag on lap 5. An eight-car pile-up on the frontstretch blocked most of the track. All drivers involved were able to walk away from the incident.
