Hancock County reschedules Northern SportMod Nationals to July 10

BRITT, Iowa (June 19) – Chalk up a “W” for Mother Nature tonight in Britt.

Due to rain, already wet track conditions and a less than stellar forecast, Hancock County Speed­way’s Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod Nationals have been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 10.

The MaxYield Seed-sponsored special pays $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start.

The evening’s IMCA Modified feature pays $1,000 to win and is both a Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional ballot and Wehr’s Dash at the Harris Clash qualifier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $600 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State, but no track points will be awarded.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps. Specta­tor admission is $12 for adults and $7 for students, seniors and veterans. Kids 12 and un­der get in free. Pit passes are $25.

Winner banks $2,500 at IMCA Northern SportMod Nationals

BRITT, Iowa – There’s a $2,500 check waiting for the winner of Hancock County Speedway’s Tuesday, June 18 Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod Nationals.  The MaxYield Seed-sponsored special pays a minimum of $300 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and E3 Spark Plugs Iowa State, but no track points will be awarded and top finishers from each heat advance to the $200 to win DeKalb/Asgrow Dash to determine their starting spots in the main event. Entry fee of $50 must be postmarked by June 14 and should be mailed to 4 Wide Promotions at PO Box 424 in Garner, Iowa, 50438. Late entry fee is $75. Also running that evening at Britt are IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.  National, regional and state points will be awarded in those three divisions. Anderson streaks, repeats at IMCA Landus SportMod Nationals

BRITT, Iowa (June 12, 2023) – So much for the slow start to his season. Logan Anderson led 29 of 30 laps in repeating as winner of the Landus IMCA Northern SportMod Nationals at Hancock County Speedway, outrunning Matthew Looft and Colby Fett and earning $2,500 for his Monday night efforts. The Eddyville hot shoe is now 2-for-2 in his Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod career outings at Britt. He’d been winless in 16 sanctioned starts before winning Saturday at 34 Raceway, Sunday at Benton County Speedway and then last night at Hancock County. “It’s about a three hour trip so it feels good to go up there, have a good race and beat a lot of good cars,” Anderson said. “We have struggled this year so it feels good to start picking up the wins. Hobo 40 at Hancock County pays IMCA Stock Car winner $2,000

BRITT, Iowa – Forty laps will be the distance and $2,000 will be the top prize at Hancock County Speedway’s Friday, July 31 Hobo 40 special for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. That feature pays a minimum of $200 to start, has a $75 entry fee and highlights the county fair show. Also on the race night card are IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, KMJ Performance State and track points will be awarded.
