Noll knows way to Canyon’s winner circle

PEORIA, Ariz. (July 22) – Jason Noll captured his second Arizona Differential IMCA Modified win of the season Saturday at Canyon Speedway Park.

Rookie T.J. Wyman rolled off on the front row of the feature next to Guy Norton, with Norton lead­ing the way through the first two laps. Wyman took over on lap three while Norton’s evening ended early with mechanical issues. 

Meanwhile, Noll clicked his way through traffic, taking over the lead from Wyman as lap four was completed. John Parmeley worked his way through the field at the same time, moving into the runner-up spot from the 15th starting position. 

Noll held off Parmeley with Kenny Gill, Ryan Roath and Popeye Madrid rounding out the top five.

George Fronsman picked up his sixth win in the Allscapes IMCA Stock Cars. Joe Vlasity now holds the most wins of the year in the Desert Restorations IMCA Hobby Stocks with his third win in 2019. Robert Cody closed out the evening with his Mach-1 Sport Compact division leading fourth feature win.

Parmeley, Kuehl, Fronsman top Canyon features

(June 8) – John Parmeley continued his hot streak at Canyon Speedway Park with his fourth victory of the year in the Arizona Differential IMCA Modifieds Saturday night, while Tay­lor Kuehl grabbed her first win of the season in the Askrens Trucking/Flexi Flyer IMCA Northern SportMods. In Allscapes IMCA Stock Car action it was once again George Fronsman in victory lane, earning his fifth win of the season.  A new point leader has been crowned after another weekend of Modified action as Parmeley snagged a two point lead from the ever-consistent Ryan Roath.  Jay Foster started the feature from the pole, taking off from the field for the first few laps of the race. With Foster in charge, Parmeley drove up from the eighth spot to challenge. Wolla outruns Marriott for Dirt Dominator win at Canyon 

By Mike Spieker PEORIA, Ariz. (Feb. 13) – The Karl Performance Arizona IMCA Modified Tour made its way to Canyon Speedway Park Tuesday for a practice night in preparation for rounds five and six. Follow­ing the night’s test and tune session was the second round of the Dirt Dominator bracket race. The final round came down to a heavyweight matchup between defending IMCA Modified na­tional champion, Jason Wolla, and defending tour point champion Hunter Marriott. Marriott won the coin toss for lane choice and elected the inside line, which was where the major­ity of the rounds were won throughout the event. That didn’t matter to Wolla, however. Marriott and Wolla got the green flag down the backstretch and were door-to-door into turns three and four. Wolla put his no. 27 machine up on the cushion and used his momentum to carry him to the lead on the front straightaway. Canyon’s Harvest Hustle special set for Nov. 29-30

PEORIA, Ariz. – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,250 to win, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $1,000 to win both nights of Canyon Speedway Park’s Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29-30 Harvest Hustle.  The Modified features are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events. Pill draw each night is $50 for Modifieds and $40 for Northern SportMods.  Gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. on Friday. Gates open at 4 p.m. with the first green flag at 5 p.m. on Saturday.  Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military and free for kids 11 and under. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $20 for kids ages seven to 11 and free for six and under. Free dry camping spots are available that weekend.
