Weekly racing, candy dash on tap this Sunday at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (May 29, 2024) – Race night will be a little sweeter this Sunday at Benton County Speedway.

Along with the IMCA Weekly Racing program, the annual candy dash will be held on the front stretch during intermission Sunday, June 2. The candy dash, which established a new Guinness World Record just a couple years ago, is always popular for the younger race fans in attendance.

Racing action will include Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts.

In addition to the weekly divisions, the INEX Legends will be in action for the first time this season at The Bullring.

The grandstand and pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, with hot laps at 5:30 and racing at 6.

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and veterans, and $5 for ages 6-12. Kids five and under will be admitted free if accompanying a paid adult.

Pit passes are $30.
