MANDAN, N.D. (June 14, 2024) – Quentin Kinzley collected his second Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory in as many weeks Friday at Dacotah Speedway.

Jordan Braun and Elijah Puckett started on the front row, however, it was veteran Marlyn Seidler who quickly took the lead when the green flag waved followed by Kinzley.

The front pair quickly caught the tail end of the field. As Kinzley tried to pass Seidler for the lead, lapped traffic took his racing line around the ⅜-mile track. As the leaders continued to battle in lapped traffic, it allowed defending track champion Mark Dahl to close in.

With five laps to go and with a clear race track, Kinzley slipped into the lead and pulled away. Seidler finished second while Dahl was third. Caden Roberts finished a strong fourth place and Jason Wolla rounded out the top five.

Zach Hughbanks started on the pole for the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature. He led early as they raced three-wide for second behind him between Alex Thompson, Harrison Schwartz and Krys Yost.

Using the high line, Yost passed Schwartz and Thompson for second before an early caution regrouped the field. On the restart, Yost challenged Hughbanks for the lead before drifting off the backstretch

Another quick caution bunched the leaders back together and on the restart, Thompson was all over Hughbanks’ rear bumper. As the laps wound down, Hughbanks held off Thompson for the first Dacotah Speedway victory of his career. Point leader Yost finished third ahead of Kevin Perdue and Dustin Thompson.

Arneson makes like lightning in bolt to Legendary IMCA Modified checkers

MANDAN, N.D. (July 12) – Austin Arneson was almost as fast as the lightning on the horizon Friday night at Dacotah Speedway. Arneson led all 40 laps of the fourth Corral Sales Legendary main event, earning a career-best $10,004 payday, a $500 bonus as the leader at midway and a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. He’s perfect: Berry races to record sixth IMCA Modified Dakota Classic Tour win

(July 14, 2022) – Tom Berry Jr.’s race for perfection ended in victory lane Thursday night.  Berry led all 30 laps of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Dacotah Speedway in winning the Corral Sales Dakota Classic Tour finale, his record sixth victory in as many starts during the week of the 33rd annual tour.  “Unbelievable,” Berry said afterwards. “We focused but we had fun. Too serious will burn you out.
