ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 13, 2024) – Extra money was on the line before and in the Rice Companies-sponsored IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature on Dan Grams Memorial Night Saturday at Arlington Raceway.

Andrew Allen and Chris Graf each won heat races and earned $100 from GRP Motorsports. Then Allen won the foot race on the front stretch with the top 10 drivers to determine who would draw first, picking up $50 from Johnson Motorsports and a 55-gallon barrel of methanol from Rick and Jessica Linde and Joel and Katie Eckberg.

In the feature, Brandon Allen was the early leader as he led the first seven laps until Trevor Serbus came up in turn four, saw an opening on the top and then made an awesome move, sliding under Allen to take the lead.

They stayed in that 1-2 order through back-to-back cautions, when Brett Allen took the high groove and got around Brandon Allen to gain the second spot.

Brett Allen wasn’t able to catch Serbus, who took the win and $1,400, plus the $130 hard charger award. Graf ended in third.

George Motto led the first four laps from his pole position start in the IIMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. Cory Proust started ninth and by the fifth lap he had command of the race and went on to win. Motto was able to hold onto second and Jordan Robinson took third.

Gary Schumacher found himself once again in victory lane after leading start to finish of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact main event. Alan Lahr and Brock Braunworth battled for the second spot but by the fourth time around Lahr had a solid second and Braunworth had a solid third.

The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature was flawless as Zach Davis and Scott Koep started on the front row and wheeled around the track in that order. Ben Reierson got around Koep to challenge Davis but exited the track on lap 12.

Halfway through the race Matt Looft was moving up fast to challenge the leaders from his outside row five starting spot but it was Davis who crossed the line first to win his first race of the season. Looft  took second and Eric Larson took third ahead of Jeff Lloyd.

The IMCA Sunoco tock Car feature saw three- and four-wide racing throughout the 20-lap distance.

Dakota Robinson was the early leader with Tim Pessek on his tail. On the seventh lap, Robinson got too high driving into turn one and slid off the cushion, losing several spots. That gave the lead briefly to Dave Moriarty but two laps later Pessek was the leader.

That lasted until lap 12 when Dan Mackenthun made his move and took over up front. Pessek tried to regain the lead but was contending with Ryan Bjerkeset, who had started 14th

With three laps to go, Bjerkeset slid by Pessek to gain second place. Pessek held onto place ahead of Matt Looft.

Trent Loverude led the entire Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature for his second consecutive win at Arlington.

He was fast in the flawless race as he was able to get distance between himself and second place finisher Clint Hatlestad by staying ahead of lapped traffic. Paul Burger had a solid third place showing ahead of Todd Stinehart.
