Eight are new to B & B All-Star Invitational eligible list

2024 Super Nationals, Results, Stock Car, Thursday, September 5, 2024

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 16, 2024) – Eight more IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers will be in contention for B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational honors at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors fueled by Casey’s.

Austin Brauner guaranteed himself a spot in the starting field with his rich victory at Thayer County Speedway’s Remington Elting Memorial.

Jeff Larson won the Stock Car special at Lafayette County Speedway and Gabriel Deschamp topped McLean County Speedway’s Coal County Classic opener.

Checkers flew at Marshalltown’s Military Memorial Night for Jimmy Gustin. Heath Tulp paced the Night of 1,000 Stars show at Hancock County Speedway.

Brendon LaBatte was best in the All-Star special at Nodak Speedway. Austin Daae was the weekly winner at Estevan and Trent Nolan scored big in Too Tough To Tame action at Shawano.

Drivers already eligible winning qualifying events were Mike Albertsen, Tathan Burkhart, Jordan Grabouski, Luke Lemmens, Dallon Murty, John Oliver Jr., Mike Petersilie and Kelly Shryock.

Record pre-entries for 42nd annual Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 30, 2024) – They say records are made to be broken.  That’s become the theme for the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Just two days after the number of pre-entries for the 42nd annual event eclipsed the 1,000 mark for the third consecutive year, a new Super Nationals pre-entry record was set when Danube, Minnesota’s Shaun Bruns became the 1,054th entry for America’s Racin’ Vacation. Bruns was the 279th IMCA Sunoco Stock Car to register, also a pre-entry record. New early registration marks were also established with 84 STARS IMCA Mod Lites and 27 IMCA Sunoco Late Models. There are 241 Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds entered, along with 182 Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, 164 IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and 77 Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Braaksma wins again, Richards ends dry spell at Boone Frostbuster

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (April 6, 2024) – The winning continued for Ethan Braaksma while Rod Richards saw a dry spell end in Saturday IMCA Frostbuster action at Boone Speedway. Braaksma raced to his sixth Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory of the young season and another $1,000 payday at Iowa’s Action Track. Richards, meanwhile, earned $750 for his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers since 2019. Also the Thursday Frostbuster winner at Stuart, Braaksma opted for a higher route around after watching the Stock Cars use the lower line in their Saturday feature. That strategy paid off as he’d catch Todd Shute for the runner-up spot seven laps in and then passed pole starter Jerry Flippo on the 10th circuit. “We were able to get out to a decent lead after that. Engine auction adds $29,000 to Super Nationals main event purse

BOONE, Iowa – A rich Saturday night of racing ended with the auction of champions’ engines adding another $29,000 to the main event purse paid at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Stock Car champion Dallon Murty’s engine sold for $7,500, so each of the other 29 starters in that event get another $258.62 in addition to their purse shares. Modified champion Cody Laney’s engine also gaveled at $7,500. The other 32 starters in that race each receive $234.38. Engines of Northern SportMod champion Austen Becerra and Hobby Stock champion Mike Smith both sold for $7,000. Each of the other 29 starters in those main events receives $241.38.  Laney, Becerra and Smith all received new crate engines from Karl Kustoms. Murty received an engine built by Midstate Machine with parts contributed by IMCA and event sponsors including Speedway Motors, Comp Cams, Edelbrock, Manley, Motorsports Warehouse, Summit, Engine Parts Warehouse, EQ Cylinder Heads and Kevko.  All auction proceeds have been mailed from the IMCA home office.
