By popular demand, IMCA Modifieds return to Fayette County for Fall Finale

WEST UNION, Iowa – A blue ribbon-worthy show is guaranteed when the Deery Broth­ers Summer Series headlines the Wednesday, July 24 race program at Fayette County Speed­way. The IMCA Late Model tour main event pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Todd Cooney of Des Moines was the winner when the series made its much-anticipated return to West Union and the Fayette County Fair last summer.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. WEST UNION, Iowa (July 7, 2022) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds return to Fayette County Speedway on Wednesday, July 20 for the second annual Rage Chassis 40.  The Fayette County Fair 40-lap special in West Union, hometown of Rage Chassis, pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. The winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow. Entry fee is $50 and pit passes are $25. WEST UNION, Iowa (Aug. 23, 2024) – Ethan Braaksma had all kinds of momentum on his side when he pulled into the pit area at Fayette County Speedway Friday night. He rode that momentum straight to victory lane, winning the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature and $1,200 on opening night of the Fall Finale. “I feel pretty confident going to momentum race tracks and coming from go kart racing, I feel like Fayette County is one of those,” explained Braaksma, who’d also won the Rage 40 special at West Union in July. “I like when the track is slick and I can just roll around it.
