By popular demand, IMCA Modifieds return to Fayette County for Fall Finale

WEST UNION, Iowa (Aug. 20, 2024) – Popular demand brings Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds back to West Union on Friday, Aug. 23, opening night of the inaugural Fall Finale at Fayette County Speedway.

Modifieds will race for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualified. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and Iowa State points will be awarded.

The sanctioned division and the Rage Chassis 40 special have become fixtures during the Fayette County Fair in July.

“The IMCA drivers all wanted to come back here for another show” on the 3/8-mile dirt oval, explained fair board race committee member Brian Boess, “so we did it.”

“The fans liked them, too.”

Hot laps on Friday are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $30.

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-10 and free for five and under.
