Stock Cars race for Super Nationals glory, Midstate Machine-built engine

BOONE Iowa (Aug. 27, 2024) – A record number of Stock Car drivers will compete at Boone Speedway in the first week of September, with their mutual ultimate goal being an IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s champion.

The Midstate Machine-built engine one of them will receive for accomplishing that feat will be pretty sweet, too.

The Des Moines builder donates the labor that goes into awarding a new engine to the winner of the Sept. 7 main event at Iowa’s Action Track.

Bullet Cams, Champ Pans, Edelbrock, EngineQuest, Kevko, Manley Performance Products, Motorsports Warehouse, Motorville, Summit Racing Products and event title sponsor Speedway Motors, as well as Midstate Machine, all contribute parts.

“Interest in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division continues to grow nation-wide,” said IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm, also noting Midstate Machine’s long-time role in the engine awards program. “Stock Car pre-entries for the upcoming Super Nationals are already over 260, ahead of last year’s record total.”

“Given the caliber of competition that’s guaranteed to be on the track, the main event winner on Saturday night at Boone will be extremely deserving of all the accolades and the Midstate Machine-built engine that goes with them.”

IMCA claims the engines of Saturday night Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Northern SportMod champions, all of whom receive new motors. Proceeds from the auction that follows are distributed equally to the other drivers qualifying for those respective features.
