LINCOLN, Neb. – Speedway Motors banners will fly at a record number of sanctioned tracks in the United States and Canada in 2016, as America’s Oldest Speed Shop continues its support of drivers in all IMCA divi­sions. MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Performance Distributors marks its 10th year as an IMCA marketing partner with contin­gency awards for drivers in five sanctioned divisions. Florida IMCA Modified driver wins Brinn transmission drawing

BAY CITY, Mich. – Jimmy McDaniel was the winner of the annual drawing for a new transmission courtesy of Brinn. The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified driver from Milton, Fla., became eligible for that drawing through the Bay Area Emerald Coast Tour. He finished fourth in final point standings for the inaugural series. Brinn, of Bay City, Mich., will give $50 product certificates to top five place finishers at 30 IMCA special events again in 2016. Those drivers will be entered in a post-point season drawing, with the winner also receiving a new Brinn transmis­sion. Early season addition planned by IMCA Modified title sponsor Xtreme Motor Sports

GREAT BEND, Kan. – Business is booming for the title sponsor of IMCA’s Modified division. So much so, in fact, that Xtreme Motor Sports will add a 50×100-foot addition to its Great Bend, Kan., shop next month. The builder of 1st Class Modified and Northern SportMod chassis, Xtreme acquired both Chubby Chassis, which manufactures Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks, and Belleville Motorsports, which builds Modifieds and Northern SportMods, in 2015. “We had a great year last year and it’s going to be even better this year,” predicted Xtreme man­ager and long-time Modified driver Mike Petersilie. “We’re so swamped it’s ridiculous. Park Jefferson sanction gives 1-2 weekend punch for drivers in South Dakota IMCA hub

JEFFERSON, S.D. – A one-two weekend combination is the result of the new IMCA sanction at Park Jefferson Speedway. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will run Saturday nights this season on the 4/10-mile dirt oval. The same five divisions will run Sundays at neighboring Raceway Park. United Rebel Sprint Series signs with IMCA, RaceSaver

OBERLIN, Kan. (Jan. 7) ­– The Sprint Car series that boasts its drivers are Having More Fun Than The Law Should Allow is newly IMCA RaceSaver sanctioned. The United Rebel Sprint Series will have approximately 30 race dates in 2016, at tracks in Kansas, western Nebraska, Colorado and Oklahoma. “RaceSaver has really caught on and we want to be part of it. We want Sprint Cars to be affordable so everybody can race,” said series founder and director Rick Salem. “IMCA has been good to work with. We’re happy to work with them so our drivers can race for URSS points as well as national and state IMCA points.” Opening night for the 11th annual series is April 10 at WaKeeney Speedway. Junction Motor Speedway switches sanction to IMCA

McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. ­ – Junction Motor Speedway sports four IMCA divisions on Saturday race programs beginning this season. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will run weekly at McCool Junction, formerly NASCAR sanctioned. “There are a lot of local IMCA cars that we’ll be able to share with other tracks,” explained promoter Delmar Friesen, citing sanctioned tracks in the area that run on Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights. “We didn’t have anyone around to share with when we were NASCAR. Probably 90 percent of the cars around here are IMCA.” A test and tune session is now scheduled for April 2. The tentative IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season at Junction Motor Speedway runs from April 30 through Sept. 3.
