Draw/redraw show June 12 at Lee County 

DONNELLSON, Iowa – A draw/redraw format will be in place for the five IMCA divisions on the Friday, June 12 program at Lee County Speedway. Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models are in Donnellson that evening, along with weekly Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Friday date at I-88 next for IMCA Empire State Series 

AFTON, N.Y. (June 8) – I-88 Speedway hosts the first of consecutive IMCA Empire State Series events this Friday, June 12. Touring Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $400 to win and a minimum of $75 to start their main event at Afton. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be given. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Spectator admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 9-14 and free for eight and under. Gary Roberts has won two of the previous four Empire State Series features at his hometown track, in 2012 and again last July. Cordes collects Modified checkers at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (June 7) – Troy Cordes returned to familiar territory Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified veteran earned his first win of the season on the quarter-mile to bring his career wins total to 103. Forty-seven of those victories have come in weekly racing in Vinton, which leads all drivers in the division at the speedway. Zach Less took the lead from Jerry Dedrick following a lap four restart and then pulled to a straightaway lead while Cordes was mired in traffic. Cordes was able to work his way into third by the time the caution flag waved again with four laps to go. SportMod Challenge winner earns $2,000 at Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods take over the spotlight in a $2,000 to win main event on Friday, June 12 at Davenport Speedway. The IMCA SportMod Challenge will use a draw/redraw format and all racing will be on the quarter-mile oval. Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., with racing at 6:45 p.m. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and free for kids 12 and under when accompanying a paid adult. Tri-City’s Greased Pig pays $1,055 to IMCA Modified winner

AUBURN, Mich. – Version 5.0 of the annual Greased Pig special at Tri-City Motor Speedway pays the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified winner $1,055. The Friday, June 12 feature will be 37 laps, pays a minimum of $135 to start and is a qualifying event for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. There is no entry fee. Pit gates at Auburn open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:55 p.m. Carload Night admission is $40 for passenger cars, pickups, vans or SUVs; regular grandstand admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors ages 55 and over, $8 for kids ages 7-13 and free for six and under. Cummins, Sathoff, Sandvig score first North Star Tour wins at Jackson 

JACKSON, Minn. (June 6) – Three first-time IMCA North Star Touring Series winners rook their turn in victory lane Saturday at Jackson Speedway. Jason Cummins won his career first Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified tour feature ahead of Mat Hollerich and Jeff Larson. Luke Sathoff captured his first North Star checkers in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event. Jim Larson was second and third was Dustin Larson. Megan Sandvig notched her first Mach-1 Sport Compact series win, chased across the stripe by Joe Bunkofske and Blaney Markman. Now a four-time winner over the course of his tour career, Jason Andrews was fastest in a 20-car field of Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Rounding out the top three were Kyle Steuber and Randy Winter. And Jeremy Wegner raced from seventh starting to first and the finish for his career second IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock tour checkers. Van Pay is 2-for-2 at 141 

By Greg Aregoni FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (June 6) – The second night in his new IMCA Modified produced the se­cond feature win of the season Saturday for R.M. Van Pay at 141 Speedway. Van Pay took the lead from third starting on the opening circuit held off Eric Scribner late to pick up the win. The battle turned out to be for third, which went to Mike Mashl. Barry Van Straten earned his first career 141 Speedway win over Devin Snellenberger in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action. John Heinz was right behind Snellenberger in third. Kelsy Hayes earned her second win Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod win of the season in late, dominating fashion. Hunter Parsons made a late pass for second over Brian Bruechert. Scott Johnson staved off late advances from Shaun Bangart to pick up the Mach-1 Sport Com­pact win. Third was Neil Watzka.

Richter starts his own streak at Dodge City

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. (June 6) – Jesse Richter put a stop to Clay Sellard’s run of perfection in Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified action Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park. Richter slipped past Joe Cleveland on the third of 20 rounds and then held off late pressure from Cleveland and Cody Gearhart to snare his first local win of the year. Richter paced the final 18 rounds of the non-stop affair, although Cleveland made one last-ditch effort on the final lap. Working forward from 13th after winning the B feature, Gearhart took third on the white flag lap before trying to make a move for the win on the final circuit. Clay Money captured IMCA SportMod honors, Michael Pepper snared his third IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win of the season and Cody Williams took the top spot in IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks as a total of 120 cars filled the pit area. Long leads to checkers at Luxemburg

By Matt Panure LUXEMBURG, Wis. (June 5) – The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified division at Luxemburg Speedway saw a Friday night first for 2015 with Josh Long grabbing the win. Troy Jerovetz and James Tebon exchanged the lead early in the 20-lap feature event.  A spin on lap four brought out the caution and again set up a duel between them. Eventually, Tebon took the top spot and pulled ahead by a car-length. This left Jerovetz and Russ Reinwald to battle for second. Long wasted little time watching the battle and jumped right in. He swung to the inside and cruised past the battle on lap six. Two laps later he had caught Tebon and began to challenge. By lap nine Long had secured the top spot. As Long built up his lead, Shawn Kilgore and Benji LaCrosse moved toward the top five. Kilgore grabbed third on lap nine and surged past Tebon on lap 11. Bruening becomes fifth Late Model winner at Independence

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (June 6) – Tyler Bruening added his name to the list of Budweiser IMCA Late Model winners Saturday night at Independence Motor Speedway. Bruening took the lead from Dirk Hamilton on the 10th of 25 laps en route to victory to become the fifth different Late Model winner in as many weeks at the speedway. Tyler Droste started alongside Bruening in the fourth row and crossed the line second ahead of Darren Ackerman. J. D. Auringer raced the high side to a convincing win in the 20-lap Performance Bodies IMCA Modified main. Auringer took the lead from Joe Docekal following a lap seven restart and then checked out on the field to take the victory ahead of Troy Cordes and Vern Jackson.
