IMCA Sprint Car rookie of the year award new from Brodix

MENA, Ark. – A long-time backer of the IMCA Late Model division adds an award for the top rookie driver in the winged division this season. The national IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Car rookie of the year receives a set of spec cylinder heads from Brodix of Mena, Ark. Brodix manufactures the official cylinder heads for IMCA Late Models. Both the national Late Model and Deery Brothers Summer Series rookies of the year earn cylinder head sets again in 2015. April 4 opener takes Deery Series to Crawford County Speedway

DENISON, Iowa – More than two decades after its only previous visit, the Deery Brothers Summer Series returns to Crawford County Speedway on Saturday, April 4. Opening night for the IMCA Late Model tour brings the series back to Denison for the first time since July 28 of 1994. Gary Webb of Blue Grass was the winner that evening, earning the second in what became a record four straight feature victories and eventually the first of three career tour championships. The Deery show scheduled last April at Crawford County was rained out. “With the blast of unseasonably mild weather recently, we’re optimistic about the series opener in Denison,” said Tour Director Kevin Yoder. “Once we get that event in we’ll be off and running with what promises to be another outstanding series.” The main event pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. 281 switches Spring Fling to April 25, 26

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Spring Fling originally planned for this weekend at 281 Speedway has been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26. Inclement weather, wet track conditions and a wet and windy forecast prompted the change of dates. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts will race both days at Stephenville. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. On Sunday, gates open at 1 p.m., the grandstand opens and hot laps start at 3 p.m. and racing is at 4 p.m. All applicable IMCA points will be awarded. There is no registration fee and pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $10 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12 and free for youngsters five and under. Deery, Hawkeye Dirt Tour, Dakota Classic drivers chase CPD product certificate awards

FORT DODGE, Iowa– CPD Racing Tools rewards drivers in four of IMCA’s most prestigious special series again this season. Fifty dollar product certificates, good toward shock services from the Fort Dodge, Iowa, manufacturer, will be awarded to top 10 finishers in official point standings for the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models, the Hawkeye Dirt Tour for Modifieds and the Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Tour for Modifieds and Stock Cars. OSKALOOSA, Iowa – IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds will race for a top prize of $1,000 and a spot on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational at each of four Frostbuster specials April 1-4. Central Region for IMCA Modifieds runs under Jet Racing banner again in 2015

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 23) – Jet Racing returns to the title sponsorship role for IMCA’s Central Region for Modifieds for a fourth consecutive season in 2015. The region includes sanctioned tracks in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and eastern Colorado.
