XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour extends Perfect Attendance for all current drivers of the 2014 tilt

The XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour kicked off at I-35 Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, on May 26, 2014, and featured 40 IMCA Modifieds battling it out in a rain-shortened feature that saw Arizona’s 4TW Tim Ward win on the big half mile. At the pit meeting, IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root announced a bonus program for perfect attendance in 2014. If you are in the top ten in points at the next event and have attended all events you get a free entry fee, a $50 savings at each stop. The bonus program was expanded after Mason City. WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (May 29) – The first of three racing doubleheaders this season for the Deery Brothers Summer Series and XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour is June 3 at Hamilton County Speed­way. Traveling IMCA Late Models visit Webster City next Tuesday for a $3,000 to win, minimum $300 to start main event. The feature for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier, paying $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start. Also on the card are Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods running for $750 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chasing a $500 top check. Czarapata wins 100th Stock Car feature at Seymour

By Dave Panske SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 25) – Brandon Czarapata wrote his name in the IMCA history books with his 100th career feature win Sunday at Seymour Speedway. After Travis Springstroh led the opening lap of the Coors Light IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main, Czarapata made a quick move to the outside as the field ran three and four-wide. Czarapata rocketed from the 12th starting spot to the lead on lap 2 before the lone caution of the race appeared. Czarapata quickly took control after the restart and left little doubt who the winner would be, extending his lead to the finish. In addition to his career 100th sanctioned victory, the win was Czarapata’s third straight locally and 34th on the all-time list at Seymour. There was plenty of action for second as Kyle Frederick, John Heinz, Jeremy Wiitala, Springstroh and Rod Snellenberger double and tripled up behind Czarapata. Grabouski is latest, youngest with 100 Modified career wins

BEATRICE, Neb. (May 23) – A driver who’s proven himself on dirt ovals around the Midwest en­joyed a milestone win at his hometown track Friday night. Jordan Grabouski won the May 23 IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature at Beatrice Speed­way. The victory was his career 100th in the sanctioned class. “You have to race a lot to be able to accomplish something like this. It’s a lot of hard work and you have to have a lot of help from your family, your crew and sponsors,” said Grabouski, 25 years old and the youngest driver in division history to reach triple digit wins. “I love to race. Fast Shafts All-Star voting will be in July, August

BOONE, Iowa – The same format will be used to determine 28 of the 30 starters for the Sept. 5 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Ninety-eight IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified drivers are now on the ballot. The final qualifying event will be the July 17 Harris Clash. Using the IMCA website and Facebook page, three drivers from each of the five Modified regions will be elected through electronic polling from July 21 to July 28. Thirteen more will be elected via the IMCA Facebook page from an at-large pool of the next 25 top vote recipients between July 29 and Aug. 5. Hudson wins career first IMCA Modified feature at Shawano

(May 24) – Cody Hudson won his first career IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature while Kyle Frederick remained unbeaten in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action Friday at Shawano Speedway. The rookie Hudson, last season’s Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod track champion at Shawano, started outside the first row in the feature and never looked back. He led all 20 laps en route to the victory. The best action of the race was behind the leader. John Berna held off Marcus Yarie to come home in second, while Jamie Schmidt, Johnny Whitman, and Jerry Wilinski had a spirited battle for positions fourth through sixth. Make-A-Wish Night this Saturday at Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 29) – Bakersfield Speedway hosts its fourth annual Make-A-Wish Night this Saturday, May 31. Proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish of Kern County and the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds race for $1,000 in their 40-lap Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Local drivers have collected donations for a race night drawing, Make-A-Wish- kids and drivers will pass helmets in the stands to collect donations from fans, with those funds going to grant wishes of children in Kern County with life-threatening medical conditions. The Modified portion of the program is sponsored by Go Live Stream TV LLC. Iturriaga Memorial is May 30, 31 at Battle Mountain

BATTLE MOUNTAIN, Nev. – A pair of $1,000 to win features for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds are on the program for Battle Mountain Raceway’s inaugural Iturriaga NAPA Memorial Race Friday and Saturday, May 30-31. Both races are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events and the first races in the first annual I-80 Challenge Series. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region, Allstar Performance State, special series and local track points will be awarded. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and optional hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. both days. All drivers must check in at the pit window by 7 p.m.; racing follows the 7:15 p.m. drivers’ meeting. Final Lone Star Series checkers fly at Texas Nationals

WACO, Texas – IMCA Lone Star Series shows on Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway do double duty as the Texas Nationals. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks all see holiday weekend action at Waco. Both Modified features will pay $1,000 to win and are qualifiers for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. SportMod features pay $750 to win, Stock Car features pay $600 and Hobby Stock features $400. Along with the biggest share of the respective purses, Modified and Stock Car series champions earn bonus points applicable toward national and regional point standings.
