Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace race at Longdale, Outlaw IMCA Night specials 

LONGDALE, Okla. – Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace return for IMCA Night specials on Wednes­day, May 4 at Longdale Speedway and Thursday, May 5 at Outlaw Motor Speedway. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified features each evening pay $1,000 to win and are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA SportMods race for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $400 to win each night. All applicable points, including local track points, will be awarded in all three divisions at both shows. Wallace won ahead of Schrader in last year’s Modified event at Longdale. The NASCAR stars finished 2-3 behind Danny Womack the next night at Outlaw. Longdale opens the pit gates and grandstands at 5 p.m. both days. United Rebel Sprint Series invades RPM Saturday night 

HAYS, Kan. – For the first time in history, IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be on the line Saturday, April 30 when the United Rebel Sprint Series hits the track at RPM Speedway in Hays. The unique partnership between the URSS and IMCA EMI RaceSaver Sprint Cars in 2016 allows drivers from area states to compete for the first time at RPM Speedway with the URSS and earn IMCA points. This will be the first of three appearances by the Rebels in 2016. Last year Koby Walters scored his first URSS feature win at the opening race at RPM. The young Liberal driver put on a show as he motored his way to the win. IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods have a dozen dates at Idaho’s Atomic Motor Raceway

ATOMIC CITY, Idaho – A dozen dates for two IMCA divisions are on the schedule this season at Atomic Motor Raceway. The 1/3-mile clay oval at Atomic City hosts Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, with the first Friday-Saturday doubleheader of 2016 set for June 17 and 18. Both sanctioned divisions most recently ran at Atomic in 2014. The track was idle last year before be­ing purchased by Blake Lyle. Atomicwraps.com IMCA Empire State Series returning to Five Mile Point for Sunday show

KIRKWOOD, N.Y. – Drivers following the Atomicwraps.com Empire State Series return to Five Mile Point Speedway this weekend for night number two of the tour for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds. Matt Cole was the winner when the 15th annual tour opened on April 16 at Kirkwood and brings the point lead back to town for the Sunday, May 1 show. The feature pays $500 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. There is a $15 entry fee and pit passes are $35. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 4 p.m. and racing begins at 5 p.m. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors ages 65 and over, $10 for students ages 13-17 and free for 12 and under. Seymour Raceway Park adjusts schedule 

SEYMOUR, Wis. – Prior to their April 26 meeting, Seymour Raceway Park officials met to discuss the test and tune session scheduled for this Sunday, May 1. With the recent rain and now cold temperatures, quality track prep time is in short supply so the decision was made to cancel this Sunday’s test and tune at Seymour. Work will continue to get the new clay surface in shape for the scheduled test and tune set for Sunday, May 8. There will be another session on Wednesday, May 11, starting at 5 p.m. The season opener is Sunday, May 15. Chamber of Commerce Night is Saturday at Cottage Grove 

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – After last week’s disappointing rainout, Cottage Grove Speedway gets back to racing this Saturday, April 30 with Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Night. All current Chamber members get into the races for $5. Classes in action include the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, Clark Printing Extreme Sprints, Street Stocks and Quality RV Repair Hornets. Sanctioned Modifieds have competed at the ¼-mile clay oval twice in 2016. Collen Winebarger was victorious in the season opener and the most recent driver to enter the winner’s circle was Craig Hanson after an exciting late race pass.  The IMCA SportMods have only been on hand once and that was when Jorddon Braaten took care of business and pulled off a clean sweep. Three first-time winners at Hancock County 

By Greg Grabianowski BRITT, Iowa (April 23) – Three different drivers found the winner’s circle for the first time this sea­son at Hancock County Speedway on Saturday, while two others won for the second time in four weeks of racing. Cody Nielsen and Derek Green won for the second time in four weeks at Hancock County Speedway while Austin Wolf, Colby Fett and Brad Cagle found the winner’s circle for the first time in 2016 at Britt. Wolf started on the pole in the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature and held that spot to grab his the win ahead of Tad Reutzel. Dominant run rewards Olmstead at North Platte 

By Kelly Ninas NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (April 23) – Running like the wind was the formula for success at Lincoln County Raceway Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd. Colton Osborn, Josh Leonard, Ca­sey Werkmeister, Jacob Olmstead and Richard Crow all earned trips to the winner’s circle. Putting on a dominating performance, Olmstead grabbed the lead on the fourth circuit and never looked back to capture his second straight IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock victory at North Platte. Starting in the fourth row left Osborn some work to do to get to the front of the field in the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature. Osborn snared the lead on the third lap and led the rest of the way to the repeat checkers. Top honors at Topeka go to Haid

TOPEKA, Kan. (April 24) – The era of IMCA Racing got underway Sunday night as Heart­land Park Topeka played host to opening night and a total of 82 cars checked in to battle it out in four divisions. One of the most exciting races of the night happened in the Cars 4 Less IMCA Stock Car division. Bryan Rigsby, who has multiple feature wins at HPT, jumped out to the early lead but would saw his car fade as a problem developed. This problem for Rigsby would be a big gain for Matt Haid. Haid had been keeping pace with Rigsby and was ready to pounce on the moment. Haid took the lead and never looked back. Jim Powell Jr. and Dominic Thyfault gave him a run for his money, but Haid was just too tough on this night as he went on to the opening night win.
