IMCA.TV bonuses paid to Dakota Tour Modified drivers defending home tracks

MANDAN, N.D. (July 7, 2022) – Modified drivers defending their home track(s) will earn nearly $2,000 in bonuses during the upcoming Corral Sales IMCA Dakota Classic Tour powered by Industrial Electric. The top three finishing drivers appearing in local track standings coming into the night at July 9-14 tour events each receive $110 IMCA.TV DCMT Defender Awards. Where they finish in the feature doesn’t matter: The sole requirement is that they have competed and earned weekly points at that track/or tracks this season. Bonuses totaling $330 will be paid each night. Checks will be mailed from the IMCA office when results are official. IMCA Modifieds return to Fayette County Speedway for Rage Chassis 40

WEST UNION, Iowa (July 7, 2022) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds return to Fayette County Speedway on Wednesday, July 20 for the second annual Rage Chassis 40. The Fayette County Fair 40-lap special in West Union, hometown of Rage Chassis, pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. The winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow. Entry fee is $50 and pit passes are $25. ANTIOCH, Calif. (July 7, 2022) – After a week off to celebrate the Fourth of July, racing returns to Antioch Speedway in a big way this Saturday night, July 9. It’s the seventh annual Hetrick Memorial race and increased purses are on the line for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Thanks to sponsorship, Modifieds will be competing for $1,500 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility on Saturday. It’s $750 to finish second and just taking the green flag in the main event assures the driver at least $150 at the pay window. Jacob Hoppes blazed the trail early in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event. Steven Sanders passed Hoppes on lap 12. Sanders, whose two brothers had visited victory lane the first two nights, had a fast hot rod but brother Isaac proved to have an even faster ride. Isaac Sanders successfully got into first place on lap 28 to win his third race of 2022 at Cottage Grove Speedway. Steven Sanders was second with Trevor Points placing third. Unfortunately, the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts could not run their Froggy 44 main event, which has been rescheduled for a later date. Wilson was able to top a field of 27 IMCA STARS Mod Lite drivers from Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana en route to his second $888 payday in the second year of the event at the proclaimed Mod Lite Capital of the World. WACO, Texas (July 2, 2022) – What turned out to be a pretty good holiday weekend for Jeffrey Abbey started at Heart O’ Texas Speedway’s Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial. Funeral services are Thursday for Casey Arneson

FARGO, N.D. (July 5, 2022) – Funeral services will be held July 7 for Casey Arneson. Arneson, 27, died as a result of a UTV accident late Friday, July 1. The driver of the number 2 Modified and nicknamed The Flying Deuce, he’d begun racing with IMCA in 2018 and was the Jamestown Speedway track champion the following season. Friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday with racing casual attire requested and services are at 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church (South Campus). The service will be live streamed on the Boulger Funeral Home website for those unable to attend. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Casey’s life will follow at The Race Shop at 15 S 14th Street in Fargo.
