Beatrice hosts rescheduled IMCA Spring Nationals March 18-19

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 7, 2022) – Spring Nationals now bring five IMCA divisions to Beatrice Speedway on Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19.  Forecasts for inclement weather have forced track officials to postpone the 29th annual event. IMCA Modifieds race for $2,500 to win, a minimum of $250 to start and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $100 to start on Friday, $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start on Saturday, and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility both nights. IMCA Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win and $100 to start, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and $75 to start each night, and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win each night. Devil’s Bowl primed for March 11, 12 Texas RaceSaver Sprint Nationals

MESQUITE, Texas (March 7, 2022) – The track Where Fast is Fun will be primed to host the second annual Texas 305 RaceSaver Sprint Nationals Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12. The opening night main event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start. Saturday’s big show pays $2,000 to win, $1,850 for second, $1,700 for third, $1,600 for fourth, $1,500 for fifth and $1,400 for sixth and then increments of $50 less for each place down to $500 for 24th. Non-qualifier pay is $50 on Friday and $100 on Saturday. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded both nights. BRIDGEPORT, N.J. – More is at stake than a $2,000 payday in the opener for the Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Precision Hydraulic & Oil March 26 at Bridgeport Speedway. IMCA Modifieds, Hobby Stocks return to NY’s Skyline Raceway Motorsports Park

VIRGIL, N.Y. – Two IMCA divisions return to Saturday shows at Skyline Raceway Motorsports Park this season, under the direction of new promoter Brad Smith.  The 2022 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season for IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks runs from April 30 to Aug. 27 on the 3/8-mile clay oval in south central New York. “Running under the IMCA banner has a lot of advantages, starting with the rules and the insurance benefits that come with membership,” explained Smith, who has a track title and 17 feature wins in his IMCA Modified career. “Then there are the different championships and contingency awards drivers can run for that are not available from other sanctions.” Reaction from drivers to the new sanction announcement has been 100 percent positive.  “The Modified guys are happy to have another track to race at for regional points. Winter Nationals sweep a Florida first for Taylor

MILTON, Fla (Feb. 25-26, 2022) – A spur of the moment decision to load up his IMCA Modified for a Florida vacation led to a storybook ending for Peyton Taylor.  Taylor topped both Friday and Saturday night Winter Nationals features at Southern Raceway, earning $1,000 for each checkered along with Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. The wins were his first-ever in Florida and came in his first visit to the Milton speedplant as well. “This was a spur of the moment deal. We got down there and A.J. Ward and William Gould were there and a lot of good local drivers were there,” said Taylor, from Batesville, Ark. “This is the first time we’ve been to Milton. They’re great people and it’s a great track, and it worked out pretty well for us.” His opening night win came from fifth starting. Rogers is champion, full point fund paid in weather shortened Sniper Speed Lone Star Tour

MESQUITE, Texas – While Mother Nature had the upper hand, drivers following the Sniper Speed IMCA Lone Star Stock Car Tour still went home winners.  Tour officials and promoters at Grayson County Speedway and Kennedale Speedway Park went above and beyond to make the last three scheduled events happen but rain and forecasts for continued inclement weather forced them to call the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car tour official.  Night two winner Jason Rogers of Selden, Kan., was crowned champion, earning a $5,000 share of the $15,100 point fund, which was paid in its entirety. “I know Jon and Jill (Courchaine of Sniper Speed) did not have to pay the full point fund,” Rogers said during the Wednesday night banquet held at the Mesquite Convention Center. “The Lone Star Tour has helped strengthen the division in Texas and I wish we would have been able to race the tour until the end.” Rogers, who earned a starting berth in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s [Read More]
