Unusual night of races during Off Road Speedway’s regular program

(June 22, 2024) – Interestingly, the feature races at Off Road Speedway’s regular program of racing on Saturday were anything but regular with an abundance of collisions, cautions and curious finishes. There was, perhaps not coincidentally, a full moon looming in the hazy eastern sky. Four attempts were necessary, for example, to begin the first feature of the evening, the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Polesitter Cole Rosencrans promptly took the lead, but Cameron Wilkinson, with five wins already this season, quickly became a contender by moving up from the fourth row into second place. Within the first six laps, Tejay Mielke joined Rosencrans and Wilkinson in what soon became a three-car battle. Wilkinson finally seized the lead coming out of turn four midway through the 18-lap race, while Mielke looked for chances to pass and Rosencrans remained a close third. McBirnie hits all his marks in IMCA Modified main at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 21, 2024) – It was a hot and humid night at Marshalltown Speedway on Friday, where it was Midwest Liquid Systems night at the races. One hundred forty-seven cars came to play. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds were running for $1,000 to the winner and Jake McBirnie, already Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, ran the track perfectly on his way to that victory. Damon Murty saw victory lane for the first time in the regular season when he won the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Logan Anderson got the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod win and Eric Stanton took the accolades in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Cory Sonner won in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Mitchell Bunch returned to the winner’s circle when he took the checkers in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Aupperle scores first win as CJ Speedway beats the heat

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (June 21, 2024) – It was a hot one on Friday night but the racing action went on as scheduled as the CJ Speedway hosted Weikert Appliance Night at the races. Despite the heat a good crowd witnessed an action packed night of racing on the 4/10 mile dirt track. It is always special to see a driver score his first-ever win and that was the case as Nick Aupperle turned his love and dedication of racing into his first-ever visit to the Four Corners Victory lane following the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature. Aupperle took the lead on the third lap of the main from early leader Joel Payne and went on to score the 16 -ap feature win. Aupperle held off the heavy hitters in the SportMod class lap after lap. IMCA Wild West Speedweek sees repeat winners at Cottage Grove

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (June 20, 2024) – After taking a night off, the Wild West Speedweek returned to action and Collen Winebarger, Ethan Killingsworth and Chase Berkeley all returned to victory lane following their Thursday IMCA feature wins at Cottage Grove Speedway. Winebarger won his second Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature of the week, Killingsworth collected a second straight Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod checkered while Berkeley topped a third consecutive IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event. The night three winner at Coos Bay, Winebarger pocketed his second $1,000 of the week after winding his way to the front following a lap three restart. He hit lapped traffic the 25th time around the track but that did not slow down his quick pace. Winebarger dominated what became a 33-lap green run to win by more than four seconds. BOONVILLE, Ind. (June 22, 2024) – Drivers in five IMCA divisions earn post-season awards again in 2024 courtesy of 15-year sponsor PRO Shocks. James repeats Wild West Speedweek heroics with win at Douglas County

(June 18, 2024) – Bricen James and Chase Berkeley both raced back to victory lane while Ethan Killingsworth captured his first checkered flag of the 2024 IMCA Wild West Speedweek Tuesday at Douglas County Dirtrack. James, who’d topped the opening night show at Yreka, banked $1,000 for his Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory while Berkeley followed his Monday Coos Bay win with an impressive run from 11th starting. Killingsworth paced the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. A pair of former Speedweek champions made up the front row in the Modified tilt, with Troy Morris III and Kellen Chadwick fighting for the initial lead.
