Superior Fuel Cells signs on as new IMCA Modified, Late Model sponsor

CRESWELL, Ore. – Sitting in staging at Cottage Grove Speedway, Paul Culp knew he had to have a picture taken of the cars lined up ahead of him. All three had fuel cells manufactured by his Creswell, Ore., company, a new sponsor for both IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Late Models. Superior Fuel Cells will give 22-gallon fuel cells to national rookies of the year in both divisions, as well as $100 product certificates to sixth through 10th place drivers in each of the five Modified regions. “We are a family business. Our fuel cells are built by racers for racers,” said Culp, who grew up at a drag strip, got hooked on circle track racing in his first visit to Eugene Speedway and returned recently to the dirt late model ranks. “I designed them and tested them myself.” “IMCA’s base principle is all about the Saturday night racer and helping keep the sport affordable,” he added. “We share that principle. We manufacture a high quality product that is going to last.”  Cottage Grove is Culp’s home [Read More]

I feel like I had to work a little more for that one than the first one. It makes it all that much sweeter.”  “Seeing P.J. (Egbert) roll in puts a little pressure on. We ran against him at Heart O’ Texas (in Waco) last night and he beat [Read More]
