SPENCER, Iowa (May 22, 2024) – “Awesome” and “unbelievable” were among the adjectives two of IMCA’s most accomplished drivers used in victory lane Wednesday night, following $16,667 feature wins at Clay County Fair Speedway’s Quarter Million Dollar Challenge. Ricky Thornton Jr. made his return to IMCA pay off, dueling with Dallon Murty while leading from the drop of the green to the checkered in a 30-lap IMCA Sunoco Stock Car contest slowed only by two early cautions. Davenport Speedway beefs up IMCA Modified payday this Friday

DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 21, 2024) – Scott County Cattlemen will do the grilling and Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers will do the racing for $1,000 to win this Friday night at Davenport Speedway. The cattlemen’s association sponsors the May 24 race program, which sees SLMR Super Late Models on the holiday weekend card along with the Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Purse for the Modified main event tops $9,000. The winner also becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational while the runner-up earns $800, 10th place pays $400 and taking the green flag is good for $100. Tow money is $75. Modifieds are draw/redraw and their entry fee is $30. Saturday IMCA feature wins are especially sweet at Eagle

Legg led Tyler Jackson, Thomas Etherton and Jeremy Down in taking the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers at America’s Home Track. “I won a lot of races in a SportMod here and then quit racing after 2015. Uehling rules Off Road IMCA Hobby Stock feature

(May 18, 2024) – Half a car length made the difference between a W and second-place in Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature at Off Road Speedway. In the closest race of the night, Uehling edged Jason Wilkinson at the flag stand by a half-car length for a win. Uehling, who started on the outside of row one, led all 15 laps with Wilkinson in pursuit the entire race. The pair repeatedly pulled away from the field, even following a caution with just six laps remaining, and Wilkinson increased the pressure each of the final trips around the track. Wilkinson closed the gap coming out of turn four the last time around, then pulled alongside Uehling briefly on the backstretch but would get no closer than Uehling’s door as the cars passed the flag stand. ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 18, 2024) – Cole Hesse became a first-time winner, on a night of firsts Saturday at Arlington Raceway. The Gibbon hotshoe made the most of the lower line, made his way to the front of the field by lap five and then made his way to victory lane following his career-first Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod victory. “Definitely down low was fastest, and it seemed like (turns) one and two were better for me,” said Hesse, who would pull away to a two second advantage before the end of the race. “I’ve got one trophy now and hopefully I can add more. Aikey takes top honors at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (May 19, 2024) – Rain may have caused a delay, but it didn’t put a damper on Sunday’s racing program at Benton County Speedway. A rain shower that started as the first heat of the night hit the track forced a delay of more than an hour. When the skies cleared, it was business as usual at The Bullring. Jeff Aikey found success in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. From his pole position start, Aikey powered away from the field in the Wright Way Trailers 20-lapper and then withstood challenges on a couple restarts to race to victory. Jack Kirchoff grabbed the lead as the white flag waved, then held off the rest of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod field for a $500 payday at Dodge City Raceway Park’s Tumbleweed Classic. Miles family takes two wins at Maquoketa Speedway

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (May 18, 2024) – Saturday night, McMahon Salvage sponsored the Maquoketa Speedway racing program by adding bonus money to the Hobby Stock and Stock car main events and both of those feature events were won by members of the racing Miles family. The leader of the pack, Jerry Miles collected the bonus money in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars while graduating senior Jordan Miles collected the bonus money by winning the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. Twenty IMCA Sunoco Late Models took the green and their 25 lapper went flag-to-flag with great action throughout the entire race. Marshalltown checkers are first in Iowa for Corn

Drew Janssen came home with the win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Garrett Corn saw victory lane for the first time in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Kyle Olson took top honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Eric Knutson was the winner in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Ben George won the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature and it was Jeremy Williams taking the checkers in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Mod Lites ran the first feature of the night, going 15 laps. George dominated this race, taking the lead on lap two, and never giving it up. It’s Shute in a thriller at Boone

Todd Shute took the win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, in a race that will be talked about as one of the best ever witnessed. Dusty Van Horn took to the top shelf of the track in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and never looked back. Dustin Lynch also took a fans on their feet win at the line in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. It was Mike Smith back in familiar victory lane in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Josh May, in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites, took his first win of the season at the track.
