IMCA Late Model sanction is first for Park Jefferson, South Dakota

JEFFERSON, S.D. (Feb. 21, 2024) – Park Jefferson Speedway will crown its first-ever IMCA Sunoco Late Model track champion this season. Sanctioned Late Models join five other IMCA divisions at PJ and run on six select nights in 2024. The class will also crown its first state champion in South Dakota. “We wanted to add a division that was maybe a little different than anything that was running around here,” explained promoter Wayne Becker. “I have a soft spot in my heart for the Late Models. IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars get top billing at Kennedale’s season-opening Spring Kickoff

KENNEDALE, Texas (Feb. 19, 2024) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars headline both nights of Kennedale Speedway Park’s season-opening Spring Kickoff special. Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24 main events see the Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Stock Cars chase $750 top checks and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Herring tops IMCA Modified Ice Breaker feature for first-ever Abilene win

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 16, 2024) – Toby Herring used to come to Abilene Speedway hoping to make the show. On Friday night, the veteran from Hobbs, N.M., was the show. Herring led all 20 laps of the Ice Breaker feature for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, getting the jump on Tyler Iverson to get the lead at the start and getting the best of up and coming Kade Ogle in what proved to be a hotly contested last time around the oval. “I had never won a race here. YREKA, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2024) – The last laps Travis Peery turned at Yreka Speedway took him to a track championship. Douglas County fills a Friday niche for IMCA in Oregon

ROSEBURG, Ore. (Feb. 12, 2024) – Drivers in the Pacific Northwest will chase IMCA points at a newly sanctioned Friday night venue. Douglas County Dirtrack hosts seven dates for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, nine for the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and eight Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact shows this season. First points races will be April 12 with the final night on Sept. 2. IMCA back at Bloomfield with race dates for five divisions

BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (Feb. 8, 2024) – As a driver, Mike Van Genderen liked just about everything about the 3/8-mile dirt oval at Bloomfield Speedway. He’s confident that IMCA drivers in five divisions will share that opinion when they race at the Davis County Fairgrounds venue this season. IMCA Modifieds return to Wisconsin’s Wilmot Raceway

WILMOT, Wis. (Feb. 7, 2024) – An absence of nearly two decades ends this season, with the return of Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds to Wilmot Raceway. The IMCA class is on Saturday programs at the 3/8 mile clay oval, located in extreme southeast Wisconsin and just a couple miles from the Illinois state line, from May 4 to Sept. 21. “A lot of our Modified drivers were interested in sanctioning,” explained executive promoter Chris Klemko, one of the seven members of the board that oversees racing at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds. “We like the IMCA rules and the point structure, and that we’ll be able to share drivers with other tracks.
