Entries on record pace, more money for IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa  (Aug. 28, 2023) – More of the pieces that make up the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s are falling into place. And just in time, with the 41st annual event coming up Sept. 4-9 at Boone Speedway. “It’s a challenge, sometimes frustrating but always satisfying, to keep up with everything that has to be finalized before Super Nationals starts,” admitted IMCA President Brett Root. “There’s always some tinkering that can be done to make the best event in dirt track racing even better.” Updated numbers see 970 cars, representing 29 states and three Canadian provinces, pre-entered. Double Down Prelude precedes 41st annual MCA Super Nationals 

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 23, 2023) – The second biggest event in all of dirt track racing just got twice as good. 2023 Hobby, SportMod, Mod Lite state point leaders are eligible to qualify for race of champions at Boone

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 22, 2023) – Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod and STARS Mod Lite drivers leading their respective state point standings and bound for Boone and the 41st annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will be eligible to qualify for race of champions events. Twelve cars will start each of those races. State point leaders as of Aug. 31 join 2023 track/series champions and points leaders, as well as former national and Super Nationals champions, former RoC winners and former Hobby Stock regional champions in qualifying for the races of champions. Mod Lite qualifying and the RoC will be held Sept. 3 during the Sunday Prelude program at Boone Speedway. Champions crowned at Marshalltown Speedway

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (Aug. 18, 2023) – It was North 3rd Avenue Dairy Queen Larry Wollam Season Championship Night at the Marshalltown Speedway on Friday.  Feature wins went to Todd Shute in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified division. It was Austin Kaplan winning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event and Logan Anderson took the honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Bradly Graham won the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature, and Joe Glick won the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Mitchell Bunch saw checkers in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Only one feature winner of the night was also crowned a track champion, that being Shute in the Modifieds.   Sport Compacts were the first on the track for their 15-lap feature and Mitchell Bunch led all 15 laps on his way to the checkered flag. He had pulled away from the field when a yellow flew at lap 10. This put Kolby Sabin on his tail for the restart. Bunch maintained his lead when the race went green, but a couple of laps later, [Read More]
