Rust, Paris are sharp in topless shows at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 7, 2024) – Marshalltown Speedway was host to the first of two Twin Topless Dirty 30 races Friday night. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Friesen Performance Northern SportMods both removed their tops for the unique race program. Mother Nature tried to stop the fun, but a few sprinkles during the SportMod feature, didn’t stop the show, and racing action returned quickly. Last corner pass scores Boone win for McBirnie

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (June 1, 2024) – Saturday night at Boone Speedway, the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars raced in memory of Eloise Davis, wife of Greg Davis, and mother of Scott Davis. The Class Too Tough To Tame had 43 cars checked in on the night honoring the Davis family.   Jimmy Gustin got his second feature win of the year in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified division and Jake McBirnie took the thrilling last corner pass win in the Stocks. Matt Avila found victory lane for the second time this year in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and John Watson was the winner in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Ben George won the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite main. Valley victory is career 100th for IMCA Mod Lite star Raffurty 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 1, 2024) – Score his latest win at Valley Speedway as yet another first for Dillon Raffurty. The Saturday night checkers were the 100th for the Kansas City speedster, the first driver to reach the triple digit win mark for Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites. “It’s pretty cool, especially for as many firsts there’s been since the class has been sanctioned that I’ve been lucky to have my name be next to,” said Raffurty, the three-time defending national champion and winner of 2021 and 2022 IMCA Speedway Motors fueled by Casey’s titles. “Just like every other driver, I always go out and try to win every time I can. Shute tops a wild one at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 31, 2024) – Marshalltown Speedway was back in action again Friday night after the prior week’s rain out.  But would it happen with the questionable weather?  It did!  And some great racing prevailed.   Todd Shute won a “sparks flying” race at the checkers in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified features.  It was Kaden Reynolds taking the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win. Brayton Carter saw victory in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Nathan Ballard won easily in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. RJ Gonzales went to victory lane in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Cristian Grady took the checkers in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Feature racing kicked off with the 15-lap main event for the Mod Lites. IMCA anniversary wins at Boone go to Berry, Anderson

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 25, 2024) – It was a great night of racing at the Boone Speedway Saturday. There were 172 cars checked in for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend event that included extra money on the line for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, celebrating their 45th anniversary and the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, celebrating 19 years of racing. It was also a Stealth Racing Corn Belt Clash race for the IMCA STARS Mod Lites. Marshalltown checkers are first in Iowa for Corn

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 17, 2024) – It was a beautiful night for racing at the Marshalltown Speedway Friday with 127 cars checked in. Drew Janssen came home with the win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Garrett Corn saw victory lane for the first time in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Kyle Olson took top honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Eric Knutson was the winner in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Ben George won the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature and it was Jeremy Williams taking the checkers in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Mod Lites ran the first feature of the night, going 15 laps. It’s Shute in a thriller at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 18, 2024) – A beautiful night for racing greeted drivers and fans Saturday at Boone Speedway. Todd Shute took the win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, in a race that will be talked about as one of the best ever witnessed. Dusty Van Horn took to the top shelf of the track in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and never looked back. Dustin Lynch also took a fans on their feet win at the line in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. It was Mike Smith back in familiar victory lane in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Josh May, in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites, took his first win of the season at the track.
