IMCA Modifieds, Late Models, SportMods go Topless to open 60th season at Eagle 

EAGLE, Neb. (March 24, 2023) – Promoter Roger Hadan wasn’t fooling when he said he wanted to do something that hadn’t been done for a long time to start the 60th anniversary season at Eagle Raceway.  The first green flag of the season at Eagle flies for the inaugural Topless Nationals Saturday, April 1. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Late Models and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods all race for $1,000 to win that evening and as the name of the event indicates, they’ll do so topless.  The Modified winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Five IMCA divisions run March 31, April 1 as Sunflower Classic starts season at RPM

HAYS, Kan. (March 24, 2023) – RPM Speedway starts the 2023 race season with the traditional Mike Hughes Sunflower Classic on March 31 and April 1.  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 each night. Both Friday and Saturday features are qualifying events for Fast Shafts All-Star or B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitationals.  IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod features both pay $500 to win, Mach-1 Sport Compact features $200. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern or Big Daddy Race Cars Northern regional, and Kansas State points will be awarded for each draw/redraw show.  Entry fee for the weekend is Modifieds $100, Stock Cars $75, Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods both $50 and Sport Compacts $35.  Pit passes are $30. Allstar Performance heat win awards complement support of IMCA Super Nationals, NY-Penn Series 

WATERVLIET, Mich. (March 21, 2023) – Winning a heat gets IMCA drivers race night recognition from Allstar Performance. Winning 10 or more heats this season gets them post-season awards courtesy of the Watervliet, Mich., high performance parts manufacturer.  Allstar Performance provides the decals given to heat race winners throughout the 2023 IMCA campaign. Drivers winning 10 or more heat races this year receive $100 gift cards. The driver, regardless of division, winning the most heat races gets a $250 gift card. Central California Clash set for May 3-7, IMCA.TV broadcasts each night of tour 

ANTIOCH, Calif. (March 21, 2023) – Three champions will be crowned in the upcoming IMCA Central California Clash May 3-7. IMCA.TV broadcasts each night of the fourth annual tour, which features Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods.  Opening night is Wednesday, May 3 at Antioch Speedway. The Central California Clash travels to Merced Speedway on Thursday, May 4, to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford on Friday, May 5 and to Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway on Saturday, May 6 before concluding Sunday, May 7 at Bakersfield Speedway. IMCA Late Models return to weekly shows at Crawford County

DENISON, Iowa (March 21, 2023) – Night two of the Spring Fling special marks the return of IMCA Sunoco Late Models to Crawford County Speedway. The Saturday, April 22 show is the first for the division at Denison in a decade. DAVENPORT, Iowa (March 20, 2023) – Three IMCA divisions join Friday and Saturday Thaw Brawl shows at Davenport Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $600 to win March 24 and 25, while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods chase $500 top checks both nights. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern regional, and Iowa State points will be awarded.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps. Adult grandstand admission is $30. Gates open at 2 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. hot laps precede racing on Saturday. Silver Dollar Speedway sets four dates for IMCA Northern SportMods

CHICO, Calif. (March 15, 2023) – The biggest race of the season, and three Friday dates at Silver Dollar Speedway will feature Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Along with May 5, July 21 and Aug. 25 shows, the IMCA class will be a headliner for the July 4 Independence Day extravaganza at the quarter-mile northern California dirt oval. “We always have full grandstands and fireworks. Muscatine Mall to host pre-season race car show

By Jerry Mackey MUSCATINE, Iowa (March 13, 2023) – The 2023 racing season In Eastern Iowa is just around the corner and the Muscatine Mall will be hosting a pre-season race car show to rev up the enthusiasm for the season in our area. Drivers from around the area will have their shiny new 2023 race cars on display in the Muscatine Mall starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18. Race fans of all ages will have the opportunity to see the cars up close and will meet the drivers and crews and can ask all about their race teams and get autographs.
