Waw wows Grayson County crowd with first IMCA Modified win since 2007

BELLS, Texas (April 1, 2023) – Sixteen years after his first visit to victory lane, Donovan Waw made his second Saturday night at Grayson County Speedway. The Royce City racer wowed the crowd with the opening night Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win … his career second and first since the 2007 season, also at Bells. “After that last restart, I don’t know if I realized I was even in the lead. I was focused on running laps,” said Waw, still living those Days of Thunder dreams. “It didn’t register when I won. I was excited but I was a little taken aback. Beaver Dam Raceway primes for April 11 opening night

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (April 6, 2023) – The green flag will fly and Beaver Dam Raceway will remember the guy in the pink hat next Tuesday night, April 11. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods are on the opening night card at the newly-sanctioned Wisconsin speed factory. Track prep continues and weather forecasts are calling for high temperatures in the 70’s on race day. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. The National Anthem plays at 6:25 p.m. with racing to follow. The late Director of Competition Jerry Priesgen, who passed away in March, will be remembered during the evening’s program. Practice night for all divisions at Beaver Dam has been rescheduled to Monday, April 10 from 5-8 p.m. Pit passes are $15 and grandstand admission is free.

IMCA Stock Car crown is worth $5,000 at Marshalltown’s King of the Highbanks

Weekend shows at 34 Raceway feature three IMCA divisions

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (April 5, 2023) – Three IMCA divisions see their first action of 2023 at 34 Raceway this Friday and Saturday. April 7 and 8 features for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds both pay $750 to win and a minimum of $125 to start. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods race for $500 to win and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts for $250 to win each night. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State points will be given each night. Modifieds also earn Razor Chassis North Central Region points. Trying again, PASS heads to Port Royal this Saturday

Foiled by Mother Nature in its effort to get the season started last weekend, the River Valley Builders Pennsylvania Sprint Series re-charges and heads to Port Royal Speedway this Saturday for its Silver Anniversary inaugural race. The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car portion of the program will include qualifying events and a 20-lap feature. Nearly a week before the race, 35 drivers had already indicated their intentions of racing, including nine of the top 10 from 2022 points. They include runner-up Austin Reed, third-finishing Doug Dodson, fourth-finishing and two-time former champ Ken Duke and fifth-finishing Kruz Kepner. Dodson was a Port winner in last season’s PASS opener at the track, and Duke scored the first of his two Port wins four years ago this weekend. Grabouski soars to Topless Nationals win at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (April 2, 2023) – New car, same results. Jordan Grabouski made his first start in a new JGR Chassis a winning one, topping the Sunday feature for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds at Eagle Raceway’s inaugural Topless Nationals. The five-time and defending national champion battled Jeremy Mills in the late going before capturing the $1,000 victory, his career 278th in the division. “I was a little nervous. Everything comes up roses for Mills at RPM’s Sunflower Classic

HAYS, Kan. (April 1, 2023) – Jeremy Mills had good finishes to show for his previous handful of visits to RPM Speedway. Now he’s a Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature winner at the Hays speed plant. Superior Customs IMCA Red River Sprint Series set to launch in 2023

(March 31, 2023) – In 2021, Nick Skalicky and Jake and Sharnel Bitker, promoters of Red River Valley Speedway and Norman County Raceway, took the leap to start a brand new division in the area, the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. After having a handful of cars for the first season, the class more than doubled in its second season in 2022, often having two heat races and up to 12 cars. As the class continues to grow, more opportunities will be available for its drivers in 2023 with a brand new traveling series, which already has a title sponsor.
