DAVENPORT, Iowa (March 20, 2023) – Three IMCA divisions join Friday and Saturday Thaw Brawl shows at Davenport Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $600 to win March 24 and 25, while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods chase $500 top checks both nights. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern regional, and Iowa State points will be awarded.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps. Adult grandstand admission is $30. Gates open at 2 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. hot laps precede racing on Saturday. Cotton Bowl starts 10th season with IMCA this Saturday

PAIGE, Texas (March 20, 2023) – Opening night this Saturday marks the 10th consecutive year of sanctioning for three IMCA divisions at Cotton Bowl Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods will be joined by the Southern United Sprints in the March 25 lidlifter at Paige. “We worked the track all off-season. It looks really, really good,” said promoter Mary Ann Naumann. “We’re excited about opening night and we’re glad to have the Sprints back. We love the series.”  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Opening ceremonies are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow.  Tickets are available online or may be purchased at the gate.

IMCA Late Model, Sprint Car rookies race for Brodix cylinder head awards 

MENA, Ark. (March 20, 2023) – Rookie drivers in the IMCA Sunoco Late Model and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car divisions are in the running for Brodix again this season.  The Mena, Ark., manufacturer, family owned and operated for more than half a century, gives cylinder head sets to national rookies of the year in both divisions. The highest finishing spec engine driver in national Late Model point standings receives the same award. All three awards will be presented during IMCA’s national banquet in November. Silver Dollar Speedway sets four dates for IMCA Northern SportMods

CHICO, Calif. (March 15, 2023) – The biggest race of the season, and three Friday dates at Silver Dollar Speedway will feature Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Along with May 5, July 21 and Aug. 25 shows, the IMCA class will be a headliner for the July 4 Independence Day extravaganza at the quarter-mile northern California dirt oval. “We always have full grandstands and fireworks. FARMINGTON, N.M. (March 14, 2023) – Instead of racing for a regional championship himself this season, Zane DeVilbiss will help crown one. Arkansas Spring Nationals March 24, 25 bring IMCA Modifieds, Stocks to Batesville

BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 14, 2023) – Checks for $1,500 and All-Star eligibility are at stake for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars both nights of Batesville Motor Speedway’s Friday and Saturday, March 24-25 Arkansas Spring Nationals. The 2023 lidlifter is presented by IMCA.TV, which broadcasts both race nights. Modified winners earn Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility while Stock Car winners become eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Jet Racing Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern regional, Arkansas State and track points will be awarded.  Non-qualifier pay is $50.  An open practice runs from 7-10 p.m. Thursday, March 23. Sunoco bonus nights scheduled for IMCA Late Models

VINTON, Iowa (March 13, 2023) – IMCA Late Model drivers are in the running for $250 bonuses again this season courtesy of division title sponsor Sunoco Race Fuels. Winners of features on designated race nights at each track that sanctions the division and at two special events receive those bonuses. In the event that driver has already won and received a bonus at an earlier event, it will be presented to the next eligible finishing driver. Muscatine Mall to host pre-season race car show

By Jerry Mackey MUSCATINE, Iowa (March 13, 2023) – The 2023 racing season In Eastern Iowa is just around the corner and the Muscatine Mall will be hosting a pre-season race car show to rev up the enthusiasm for the season in our area. Drivers from around the area will have their shiny new 2023 race cars on display in the Muscatine Mall starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18. Race fans of all ages will have the opportunity to see the cars up close and will meet the drivers and crews and can ask all about their race teams and get autographs.
