Rage Chassis 40 special for IMCA Modifieds headlines Fayette County Speedway fair show

WEST UNION, Iowa (July 7, 2023) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds put on another blue ribbon show when Fayette County Speedway hosts the third annual Rage Chassis 40 special. The 40-lap special in West Union, hometown of race sponsor Rage Chassis, headlines Thursday, July 20 entertainment at the Fayette County Fair and pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start. The winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and Iowa State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing to follow. There is no entry and pit passes are $30. 34th IMCA.TV Dakota Classic Modified Tour starts Saturday in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (July 6, 2023) – Online entries continue to come in for the 34th annual IMCA.TV Dakota Classic Modified Tour. The six consecutive night tour for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stocks Cars is again an international series with Estevan Motor Speedway in Saskatchewan back after a three-year absence due to the Covid pandemic. At this point, drivers have pre-registered from 15 US states and a healthy contingent from Canada. Modifieds will be running for $2,000 to win and $300 to start their 26-car features, along with Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Stock Cars will be paid $1,000 to win their 24-car feature events with B & B Racing Chassis All-Star qualifying eligibility awarded as well. Pollard prevails at Indee’s Osborn Memorial

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (July 5, 2023) – Eric Pollard went from terrible on Sunday to lights out on Wednesday. Pollard led every lap of the Denny Osborn Memorial main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models at Independence Motor Speedway, earning $2,072 along with a $250 bonus from Sunoco Race Fuels. “To come here and win this race was awesome. We were terrible on Sunday (at Dubuque,)” Pollard said from victory lane. “Having a good run tonight was just what we needed.” Pollard started third in the 22-lapper and was chased every time around the track by Evan Miller. The last restart came with three laps left and Miller was unable to muster a challenge, finishing three car lengths off the pace. Cedar County Fair show on July 12 features IMCA Modifieds, SportMods

TIPTON, Iowa (July 6, 2023) – Cedar County Raceway is the place to be next Wednesday, July 12 for Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod drivers. The Cedar County Fair special at Tipton features a $1,500 to win main event for the Modifieds, while Northern SportMods run for a $1,000 top check. The Modified winner becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Minimum start/tow money is $75 for the Modifieds and $65 for the SportMods. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State points will be awarded. Modifieds also earn Razor Chassis North Central Region points. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission comes with the $10 purchase of entry to the fairgrounds. Kids’ Christmas in July this Sunday at The Bullring

VINTON, Iowa (July 5, 2023) – Although Santa doesn’t arrive for another few months, kids in attendance will have some mid-summer Christmas cheer this Sunday at Benton County Speedway. Kids’ Christmas in July is on tap July 9 and will feature kids’ power wheel races, plus a number of prize giveaways for the youth in attendance. The IMCA Weekly Racing season continues Sunday night in all divisions, as well. IMCA Stock Cars chase $750 check Friday at US 36

OSBORN, Mo. (July 5, 2023) – A bigger check for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner and reduced ticket prices for fans are in the works Friday night at US 36 Raceway. Stock Car drivers race for $750 to win and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star eligibility in the July 7 show at Osborn. Meanwhile, grandstand admission is just $10 for adults and free for kids 10 and under. Fans can also like, comment and share the post on the track website page to become eligible for one of five sets of tickets to be given away. Winners of tickets will be notified personally after 5 p.m. Thursday. There is no entry or registration fee and pit passes are $35. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and grandstands open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Opheim, Longnecker are Eve of Destruction IMCA winners at Boone

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (July 4, 2023) – Kevin Opheim parked a new IMCA Sunoco Stock Car in victory lane and it was Hunter Longnecker taking top honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods during Tuesday’s Eve of Destruction show at Boone Speedway. The Class Too Tough To Tame saw Opheim take his ride from 14th starting on the grid of 22 cars all the way to the front in a thrilling run to the checkers. Donavon Smith started on the pole and leaped to the immediate lead but was being challenge by Jay Schmidt, brother David Smith and Jake Sachau much of the early part of the race. Then, just after the halfway mark of the 20-lap event, it was Opheim making his presence known as he was running in the top five. Off Road Speedway draws 100 cars to early holiday special

By Randy Pospishil sports@norfolkdailynews.com NORFOLK, Neb. (July 3, 2023) – A pre-Independence Day special event was well-attended by both competitors and fans on Monday night at Off Road Speedway. With a full, reddish-colored moon as a backdrop, 100 cars, including a large number of drivers trying their luck at the Norfolk track for the first time, and a crowd of approximately 500 enjoyed a night of IMCA racing followed by a celebratory fireworks display. Cory Dumpert ran away with the IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature, despite a starting position in the middle of the 22-car grid. Dumpert made his way to the front during the first half of the race before taking the lead by coming out on top of a brief five-lap battle with Cade Richards. Dumpert then pulled away from the field both before and after the race’s fifth and final caution occurred with seven laps remaining. Brad Sites grabs first NY-Penn Series win of season

(June 30, 2023) – Brad Sites didn’t let anyone stay close the last four times around the track in winning the Friday night Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by MR Grafix main event at The Hill Speedway. Sites’ first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified tour win of 2023 paid $1,000 and earned Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility for the 2021 series champion as well. Rodney Morgan, Gary Roberts, Matt Benjamin and Keith Lamphere completed the top five. Roberts picked up the Flow Force Pressure Services Hard Charger award after coming from the 13th starting position. The show at Monroeton saw 20 drivers vie in a 25-lap feature and Clayton Tarabori and Gary Lamphere brought the field to green. Nolan tops IMCA Stocks, Teske scores SportMod win at Shawano

By Brandon Reichenberger SHAWANO, Wis. (July 1, 2023) – Mother Nature provided a beautiful night for racing at the legendary half mile on Tribute to Veterans night at Shawano Speedway. Tribute to Veterans is always a special night as the track honors our American heroes and 140 veterans were on hand for a special recognition and tribute at intermission organized by Mike’s Video, Trev’s Trailers and B&H Racing. Trent Nolan, Jeffery Teske and Jordan Bartz all left with bragging rights and a special Veterans Night trophy, as all three recorded a clean sweep on the evening winning both their heat and feature races. Dylan Sexton and Shawn Wagner led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field to green flag for a 20-lap feature. Wagner led early but had plenty of company from Dylan Stedje and Nolan, both of whom drove past on lap two.
