$2,000 to win Stock Car Shootout slated at Kossuth County

ALGONA, Iowa (June 11, 2024) – The 13th will be especially lucky for one IMCA Sunoco Stock Car driver at Kossuth County Speedway. Thursday’s Stock Car Shootout, presented by Beck’s Hybrids, at Algona pays $2,000 to win and is accompanied by B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. A minimum of $200 will be paid to start and the Stock Car portion of the June 13 program is draw redraw. Completing the card are Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, state and track points will be awarded. Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $12 for adults and free for kids ages 12 and under. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. Racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps. The Stock Car Shootout will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.

Win to Bjerkeset, Lund lands Arlington bonus

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 8, 2024) – Ryan Bjerkeset went home with the win and Curt Lund went home with a $500 bonus after the Rice Companies VIPs added a little twist to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature Saturday at Arlington Raceway. As much as an additional $2,100 was on the line for drivers accepting the back row challenge: They’d get the full amount if they won, or an extra $500 by advancing the most positions toward the front. Two drivers took the challenge, Lund and Ken Tietz, and with extra money on the line, the race was understandably intense. Dosch delivers first IMCA Stock Car win at Dacotah

(June 7, 2024) – Matt Dosch became a first-time IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature winner while Quentin Kinzley won his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature since 2022 Friday night at Dacotah Speedway. Casey Binstock and Jason Berg led the field to the green flag in the Stock Car feature. Berg grabbed the early lead before Shawn Strand slipped by on lap two. Strand’s lead was short-lived however as Dosch took over on lap three. Dosch started to pull away until a mid-race caution regrouped the field. On the restart, it was a thrilling battle for third between Berg, Jaden Christ, Hunter Domagala and Marlyn Seidler. With only a few laps remaining, the second-running Strand started to change his driving line and close in on Dosch. Snellenberger, Schroeder sweep at Seymour

Rod Snellenberger earned his first feature flag of the 2024 campaign with a heat win to boot in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars while Cody Schroeder doubled up in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Snellenberger ducked underneath Tyler Wilson to snatch the lead on lap five and never relinquished the top spot the rest of the way. His 222nd career win in the division was good for $1,000 and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. WORTHINGTON, Minn. (June 7, 2024) – Five events on five straight nights are on the Midwest Madness Tour schedule for five IMCA divisions. Opening night features Sunday, June 23 at Worthington Speedway see the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $1,200 to win. Williamson wows Bloom crowd at CGS

(June 1, 2024) – After getting those vision issues taken care of, Jesse Williamson kept his eyes on the prize and raced back to the front of the field and all the way to the Ralph Bloom Memorial checkers Saturday at Cottage Grove Speedway. The Coburg chauffeur had taken the lead from the initial start of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod 50-lapper but would have problems after part of his hood folded back and began to give him visibility issues. Williamson retired to the pit area following a lap five caution, had the hood removed and came back out restarting dead last. Ethan Killingsworth became the new leader. Several cautions prevented him from getting a significant lead but at the same time also prevented heavy lapped traffic. Around midway, Williamson was back in the top five and on lap 27, a three-car battle for second was waged between Williamson, Jorddon Braaten and Matt Sanders. Stien sprints to RaceSaver win at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 1, 2024) – Mike Stien led the distance Saturday at Arlington Raceway in winning his first IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature of the season. Stien started in the front row alongside Bruce Allen. The race behind them was Brett Allen moving forward and passing five cars to challenge. He tried to get under Stien a couple times but ran out of room on the track and settled for second ahead of Matt Johnson. Matt Looft repeated his winning ways from the previous week, topping both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod features. Fitz, Fisher fast in victories at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (June 1, 2024) – Some nights you’re just fast. Trevor Fitz and Joren Fisher proved that Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. Fitz dominated much of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by Wright Way Trailers and Fisher wasted little time making it to the front of the main event for IMCA Hobby Stocks presented by iHeart Radio. In the Modified 20-lapper, Fitz pulled away at the drop of the green and built a lead in excess of four seconds before the caution flag waved just shy of midway. On a couple ensuing restarts, Fitz again assumed command and fought off brief challenges from Cody Laney to score the victory. It was his first at The Bullring.
