New link connects drivers to IMCA contingency awards

VINTON, Iowa (March 6, 2024) – A few clicks on the keyboard is all it will take for drivers in any IMCA division to make themselves eligible for contingency awards to be given for the 2024 race season. Drivers can click here to go to the form, which is also on the IMCA website using the forms menu, to complete the process in a matter of minutes. Drivers will be asked to indicate the make of cylinder head, shock and spring they compete with this season, and attach a picture of their car displaying required decal placement. “This is a quick and easy one-stop process,” said IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm. “No paperwork is involved and drivers can make themselves eligible for point fund shares and contingency awards and then focus on racing.” Decal packets are mailed from the IMCA home office daily.

Southern Oklahoma hosts IMCA Stampede March 14-16

ARDMORE, Okla. (March 5, 2024) – Three IMCA divisions are in action each night of Southern Oklahoma Speedway’s March 14-16 Southern Stampede. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $2,000 to win and $200 to start on Thursday, $1,000 to win and $100 to start on Friday and $3,000 to win and $300 to start in the Saturday finale at Ardmore. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods both run for $1,000 to win and $100 to start on opening night, with $750 to win and $75 to start on night two and $1,250 to win and $125 to start night three. Sitton Classic RaceSaver Sprint win has Fifield smiling

GREENVILLE, Texas (March 2, 2024) – Justin Fifield was all smiles Saturday night, and not just because he’d won the top-paying event of his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car career. Fifield led start to finish of the Smiley Sitton Classic at Hunt County Raceway, outrunning a star-filled field for a $3,000 payday. “Our car was just really good. I’m glad we got the win,” said Fifield, who had collected $400 along with the pole shuffle checkers earlier in the program. “I go up and pick Smiley’s brain quite often. Texas Grand win is career seventh for Babbitt

CLEVELAND, Texas (March 2, 2024) – The Texas Grand has been a racing tradition for nearly three decades and Corey Babbitt has made a tradition of winning the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite at the 105 Motor Speedway special. The New Caney driver led all but the first of 30 laps Saturday night in earning his career seventh Texas Grand crown and $1,500. “We had two grooves to race on. They dropped the green and we took off,” said Babbitt, who negotiated heavy lapped traffic and then put some distance on the rest of the field in a green, white, checkered finish. DODGE CITY, Kan. (Feb. 27, 2024) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars get top billing and race for a lot of dollar bills at Dodge City Raceway Park’s April 5-6 Sprint Car Nationals. The opening weekend event for the United Rebel Sprint Series sees the winged warriors race in qualifying heats and features on Friday. Last-chance races and a king of the hill pole shuffle for the top eight qualified cars precede the $5,000 to win, minimum $400 to win main event on Saturday. GREENVILLE, Texas (Feb. 26, 2024) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars are on the Saturday night card when Hunt County Raceway celebrates a Texas motorsports legend. The March 2 Smiley Sitton Classic main event for IMCA Sprints at Greenville pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Sheyenne Speedway adds four IMCA divisions for 2024

LISBON, N.D. (Feb. 2, 2024) – Four IMCA track champions will be crowned this season at Sheyenne Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are on May 29, June 9, July 12 and July 28 programs at the quarter-mile dirt oval in Lisbon, N.D. $100,000 in contingencies awarded to IMCA drivers in 2023

VINTON, Iowa (Dec. 21, 2023) – Their on-track accomplishments earned IMCA drivers some $100,000 worth of contingency awards in 2023. “The combination of sign-up programs, and programs with individual and unique requirements continue to benefit IMCA drivers at a record pace,” noted IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm. “I strongly encourage award recipients to take advantage of these programs, and to continue their support of the businesses that support IMCA.” Awards were presented at the IMCA national banquet or mailed earlier in December from the IMCA home office.
