PASS looks for dry bullring at Path Valley

(May 12, 2023) – Looking to square the balance sheet at four races run versus four rainouts, the River Valley Builders Pennsylvania Sprint Series returns to Path Valley Speedway on Saturday for its second try at running on the series’ oldest active track, where more than 200 feature races have run since 2000. The 25th Anniversary PASS season has been slowed by rain, including a wet Saturday on April 15, when the series was supposed to have opened its 2023 season at the high-banked bullring that sits up against a mountain near Spring Run in northern Franklin County. This weekend’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event sees gates opening at 4 p.m., with warm-ups starting at 6 p.m. and racing to follow. Spahr continues PASS streak at Port Royal

The change was a River Valley Builders Pennsylvania Sprint Series feature race run Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway without a rain cancellation for the first time since the middle of last month. The consistency was Logan Spahr, who remained undefeated on the season by taking his third straight IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car win, with a victory margin of 2.595 seconds over runner-up Drew Young. It was actually win number four in a row for Spahr, who won 2022’s season-ending Keystone RaceSaver Challenge, and five of PASS’s last six races. (May 6, 2023) – Youngsters vied in the Sam’s Club Kid’s Money Grab at intermission, then cheered Michael Wade onto his career first IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature win during Saturday’s Junior Fan Club Night program at Eagle Raceway. Wade, a direct descendant of local racing legend Smokin’ Joe Wade, who graced local tracks for many years, took the lead on lap two and outran Adam Wasserman and Kyle Gannon to the checkers. “I have to thank Adam for racing me cleanly. Dye, Nichols deliver wins on the high banks of US 36

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. (May 5, 2023) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars roared to the track Friday night and Jacob Dye roared to his first feature win of the season at US 36 Raceway. Jack Potter took the early lead, setting a blistering pace on the fast and smooth 3/8’s mile dirt oval with Jacob Dye in tow. Mike Houseman Jr. and Tyler Drueke battled and ran down the leaders as the race developed with Potter continuing to lead. Going caution-free, Dye made his move on the high side of turn four as the white flag waved, took the lead from Potter and picked up his first feature win of 2023. Big fields pay off for IMCA drivers at Eagle

EAGLE, Neb. (May 5, 2023) – As it was announced in the pit meeting on April 22, effective immediately, Eagle Raceway will start adding a minimum of $1,000 bonus spread throughout the field of a class of cars if there are 30 or more cars that show up and race at any single event in that class (includes non-qualifiers). This will be in effect from April 22, 2023 to May 27, 2023. If this works out, the track will continue to offer this bonus for the rest of 2023. “As most of you already know, we already offer a reward when ‘A’ features run caution free by giving those drivers a free pit pass the following week. Rhodes sprints to IMCA RaceSaver win at Winchester

(April 29, 2023) – With most of the Eastern race tracks raining out, the return of IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars to Winchester brought a good field of sprinters to the Virginia oval co-sanctioned by the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series. Zach Rhodes topped the 24-car main event for his first win in the sanctioned division. Heats kicked off the night with Donnie Hendershot, A.J. Barton, Jarrett Rosencrance and Dave Grube taking wins. The feature lined up with Rhodes and Fred Arnold on the front row. Rhodes had the best line at the start with Arnold dropping in for second right away, as the rest of the field tried to get their own line working to move forward. Wayman follows IMCA Modified win with Sprint second at Eagle

The Lincoln speedster won the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at America’s Home Track, then hopped into his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car and ran second to veteran Adam Gullion in the nightcap. He topped the Modified feature in front of Shawn Harker, Anthony Roth and Jaxon Saathoff, then took charge early in the Sprint show with Gullion in tow. Clint Benson passed Josh Riggins for third on lap two. Gene Ackland also got past Riggins, putting the 14G in fourth. There were nine laps left when Benson passed Gullion for second, only to lose the spot back to him the following circuit.
