Duhme dominates IMCA Modifieds at Maquoketa

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (May 27, 2023) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature belonged to Ryan Duhme Saturday night at Maquoketa Speedway. Duhme took over the top spot from Brandon Jewell and went on to record the 20-lap feature win. Jason Schueller followed Jewell across the finish line in third.  Jerry Miles drove to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win, taking over the top spot following an incident on the 10th lap that saw the two front runners sail off of turn two and forced to restart from the rear. Miles took over the race lead and took the checkers ahead of Justin Kay and Jacob Ellithorpe.  The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods continue to provide thrilling racing at the Maquoketa Speedway. Serbus sprints to series win at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 27, 2023) – The Toppers and Trailers Plus Minnesota IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series kicked off and once again Trevor Serbus wheeled his car around the car to win Saturday at Arlington Raceway. Mike Stien tried to stick with the leader but wasn’t able to gain on him. Brandon Allen was running a strong third but Matt Johnson was able to get under him and take his spot, then Brett Allen and Brandon Allen were exchanging positions for the following laps with Brett coming out in fourth and Brandon in fifth. Brett Allen also won the RockStar Hard Charger of the Night award and an extra $100 from Schultz Custom Woodcrafters. Once again Cory Probst worked his magic and captured a clean sweep in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Reimers rules Boone, May takes Corn Belt Clash win

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (May 27, 2023) – It was a beautiful night Saturday for racing at Boone Speedway to kick off the Memorial Weekend. There were 148 cars checked in to provide the crowd with a full night of entertaining racing action. The Stealth Racing STARS Mod Lites ran a 25-lap feature event for their second night of a three-race Corn Belt Classic series. Ben George was the early leader of the main event but had big-time company in the likes of Josh May, Bryce Vowan and Jon Padilla. Bad luck bit George when a lapped car caused him to fall back on lap 10, with May taking over the top spot. May never looked back after getting the lead and would take it the rest of the way home to the win. Second place went to Jon Padilla. Third place was Bryce Vowan. Murty, Schafroth top Whole Hog Qualifier Winners

STUART, Iowa (May 28, 2023) – The third annual Whole Hog 50 sponsored by VanEaton Pork kicked off Sunday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Winners for the night were Jon Padilla, Ben Kraus, Damon Murty, Buck Schafroth, Tristan Grape, Brayton Carter and Todd Shute. Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites were first to the track for the final night of the three-day swing for the Cornbelt Clash. Jon Padilla led early and often in this one with Josh May stalking him in second. May and Austin Gray had a couple of chances with cautions but Padilla had the line and stayed smooth to take the win. Gray came home second with Justin Kinderknecht third, May faded to fourth and Brandon Freeburg fifth. Padilla took home an extra $1,000 for the Clash points title, May $500 and Kinderknecht $250 to round out the top three. Ward wins IMCA Anniversary Prelude at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (May 28, 2023) – It took him a few laps to get to the lead, but once he did it was smooth sailing for Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver Tim Ward. Ward worked past Justin O’Brien mid-way through the Beaty Excavating 25-lapper, then took the checkers by six seconds ahead of the field in Sunday’s Prelude to Monday’s IMCA Modified Anniversary Event. O’Brien led early while Drew Janssen pressured the leader running the low side of the fast quarter-mile oval. Meanwhile, Ward navigated the high side and pestered the lead pair before making what would be the winning pass. Janssen raced to a second place finish ahead of O’Brien and last year’s Prelude winner Joel Rust. Day has quite a night at IMCA All Star Shootout finale

WACO, Texas (May 28, 2023) – The final night of the All Star Shootout fueled by IMCA.TV saw Matthew Day race to a feature victory, a $500 bonus and the tour title. The Farmersville hotshoe hustled to the $1,000 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win Sunday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. The bonus accompanied his second checkers of the tour, which also provided the tiebreaker as Day and one-time All Star winner William Gould tied atop the Modified point standings. Gould had brought a five point advantage over Day coming into the finale, started inside him on the front row and led the first 15 laps before getting caught up with a lapped car. Day motored by, stayed in charge after a lap 17 restart and led the rest of the way. Richardson races to career first win at CJ

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (May 26, 2023) – Friday night saw a beautiful night for racing at the CJ Speedway. The program included great racing and a first-ever win on a night that saw the final checkered flag wave at 9:55 p.m.  Tucker Richardson is a junior-to-be at Winfield-Mount Union High School and is in his first year of racing full-sized cars. Richardson, who comes from a racing family, made his sixth start in an IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock on Friday night. Richardson led the main event early and was overtaken by Luke Phillips, but misfortune struck Phillips, as he was forced to the pit area with mechanical issues. Young Richardson went on to lead the final laps in route to an impressive win taking the checkers first ahead of a vastly improving Billy Stanford. David Crimmins made his first ever visit to CJ on Friday night and ran third. Marshalltown fans salute IMCA Modified winner Rust

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 26, 2023) – Racing was back in action at the Marshalltown Speedway Friday night where it was API Solutions Salute to Military Night. Joel Rust took the honors in the IMCA Friesen Performance Modified class.  It was Damon Murty taking the win in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division, and Sam Wieben came home the winner in the IMCA Friesen Performance Northern SportMods.  Sam West took the checkers in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature, Kolby Sabin won the MACH-1 IMCA Sport Compact main event, and it was Jon Padilla topping the STARS Mod Lites by taking the win in the first of a three night run in their Corn Belt Clash series.  Kolby Sabin started on the pole of the 15-lap feature for the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and led all laps on his way to the checkers. Terry Bickford and Mitchell Bunch chased the leader the entire caution-free race but had to settle for second and third place, respectively. Three straight wins for Monson at Kossuth County

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (May 25, 2023) – Oliver Monson won his third straight feature while Matt Looft won for the second time this summer to highlight Night No. 3 at Kossuth County Speedway on Thursday. Monson won his third consecutive Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature, starting this one from the inside of the third row, but got a great start as he led all eight laps as the race went green, white, checkered. Lucas Parsons kept things interesting to take second but could not pass Monson and Charles Prime finished in third place. Kirby is convincing in IMCA All Star win at Kennedale

KENNEDALE, Texas (May 27, 2023) – Brenda Kirby wasn’t sure who was starting where behind her, but she made sure everyone finished behind her in Saturday night’s All Star Shootout Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event. The Arizona visitor started on the pole for the headline feature at Kennedale Speedway Park and chased Californian Troy Morris III the first 10 times around the track before taking the front spot for good.
