Cottage Grove hosts June 6 Kids Night

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – Race fans ages 12 and under get in free for Kids’ Night this Saturday, June 6 at Cottage Grove Speedway. Curtis Towns joined the winner’s list for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds last week. Jesse Williamson and Kinzer Cox are still tied atop the 2015 chart with two wins each. Braedon Hand has also won once. Pit gates open at 2 p.m., the front gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at approximately 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

Kent Lewis Sr. Classic is Saturday at Gator Motorplex

WILLIS, Texas – Gator Motorplex honors one of its own this weekend at the second annual Kent Lewis Sr. Classic. The veteran driver will be among the Southern United Sprint Series drivers running in the $1,000 to win, minimum $325 to start non-winged event on Saturday, June 6. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are also on the card with the IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprints, along with Lone Star 600 Sprint Cars, limited modifieds, stock cars and pure stocks. There is no entry fee. Spectator admission is $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Pit passes are $35 for adults and $25 for kids. Racing starts at 7 p.m. Saturday. Quad City’s rescheduled Reinhart Memorial is this Sunday

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (June 2) – First place in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature pays $1,500 at Quad City Speedway’s Sunday, June 7 Gary Reinhart Memorial. The 22nd annual special is a 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and was rescheduled due to inclement weather from May 24. The main event pays a minimum of $125 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Belleville Motorsports North Central Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded for the draw/redraw show. Pit gates at East Moline open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3:30 p.m. The draw ends and the drivers’ meeting starts at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. with racing to follow. IMCA Rebel Run specials slated June 5, 6 at Gallatin, Billings

BILLINGS, Mont. – A pair of Rebel Run specials in Montana gives IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified drivers two chances to race their way onto the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. The Friday, June 5 opening night event at Gallatin Speedway pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $75 to start. On Saturday, June 6, the top prize is $1,500 with a minimum of $100 paid to start at Billings Motorsports Park, making the weekend one of the top-paying combinations in Montana this season. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Racing Western Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded each night. JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Jamestown Speedway rolls out the red carpet this Saturday, June 6 for the first of five appearances this season by IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval. The feature pays $500 to win. Kossuth County hosts IMCA North Star Touring Series on Thursday

ALGONA, Iowa (June 1) – IMCA’s North Star Touring Series makes its first venture outside the State of Minnesota, when Kossuth County Speedway hosts the June 4 show. Touring IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts race at Algona on Thursday evening. IMCA Race Night Friday at Clay County Fair Speedway

SPENCER, Iowa (May 29) – Friday night is IMCA Race Night at the Clay County Fair Speedway.
